They spent a good hour learning and teaching the two different languages to one another. After that hour, they'd taken a break and Squid offered to make them something to eat, something to refuel their exhausted bodies. They all agreed with a chorus of thank you's and Historia and Fox went to go help out.
The rest who hung back sat in silence for a few minutes, then Vines and Eyes began a quiet discussion, Jack joining in. Silencer and Guardian couldn't hear them, but they noticed the glances they were given.
"They don't like me, do they?" The little girl asked the tall boy beside her, looking at the floor. His arm went around her to pull her close while he shushed her; a hand ran through her hair slowly. "Its my fault they don't…"
"Its not your fault, its that guy who experimented on you's fault."
"Yeah but I should be stronger than this… I should be able to fight against it. Why aren't I strong enough? Why can't I be as tough as you?" Her voice slowly rose. "Its not fair!"
"Shhh, just calm down-"
"All I do is hurt you all! I choked one of my best friends, forced us on a ship to this planet, I'm probably the reason those people even came here too," she choked out, sobbing now. Her pupils were absurdly large for a second, then puny.
"Sil! Calm down, okay?" Guardian tried again as the trio turned to look. Historia, Fox, and Bubbles were now on their way to investigate.
"I am calm," came the gentle reply, an emphasis on "am."
"What's going on?" asked the harpy, who's eyes soon widened.
Silencer was standing again. Her breathing was normal, her hands were at her sides, everything looked fine. Everything except for the wicked grin.
"Silencer, snap out of it!"
"Snap out of what? Its me! Your best friend, the Silencer." her voice was stone cold and yet full of emotion; a bad aura leaked from every pore of her body.
She suddenly ripped forward and Guardian jumped up, catching her by the collar of her shirt and flinging her into his arms, to which she clawed and bit at. She drew blood while he grit his teeth, yelling to the others to help. They were frozen, and then jumped into action. Vines restrained her with his plants while Fox, Eyes, Jack, and Historia formed a circle around her. Kh'zk looked horrified while trying to help the tall protector. The kids tried to talk the small girl out of it.
"It hurts!" the horned girl cried out, tears rolling down her cheeks.
"Fight it, Sil. Be strong; for all of us!" the harpy told her, giving her a serious look.
"I-I'm- trying? This is fun~" she erupted into a fit of giggles, then more sobs.
And then, it was over. She stayed in the restraints until they were sure she'd returned to her normal state. The squid alien walked to eyes and grabbed one of his arms, proceeding to speak to him in her native tongue.
"She has to go," he said, pointing to the now unconscious heterochromatic girl.
