As soon as the last person among their escorts departed, Iman quickly unwrapped the laffayathat Safiyyah tediously wrapped around her and left her beautifully designed room to take a tour of the house.
She started with the master bedroom which was designed in a true masculine fashion in Mahmud's favourite colour--grey. Everything in the room from the painting to the curtains to the fluffy rug and king size bed is either in deep grey or a lighter shade of it. She never thought a combination of deep and light grey would look that good.
From there, she proceeded to the parlour which was designed according to Walida's preference. They were both asked which colour theme they wanted and Iman had said she'd be okay with anything the interior designer (Walida) chose.
And so it was simply but beautifully designed in brown and golden hues. The set of chairs, rug, dining table, curtains, centre table, side tables, show-glass and even the containers in it (containing incense wood, humra and suchlike) and the console were all either brown or golden in colour.
For their bedrooms, Walida had gone for the girly lilac and deep purple while Iman insisted she wanted her favourite colour--black and so the designer had made a few adjustments to liven it--- making it a combination of black and silver which turned out quite attractive.
