Chapter 7: His words haunt me..

I put my shoes on and as I'm about to open the door my mom opens it. I give her a fake smile.

"I'm going outside for a bit, Mom."

"Honey, sit down." She says. Oh god. Someone told her. Someone told her. I'm screwed. Oh god!!!

I slowly go back and sit down on the side of my bed. I gulp the lump feeling I had in my stomach.

"W-what's up, Mom?" I give her another fake smile.

"You know what's up. I didn't mention it before because I know how protective Joshua is. Mrs. Alvarez called today. What happened? She called me and told me you were in the hospital. What happened? I was at work and I couldn't leave to check up on you. But right now tell me what happened."

"Oh! That! It's nothing, Mom. I just felt sick. Some stomach bug or something. But I'm all right now." I laugh to show her that it was nothing. Although it wasn't nothing. It was something.

"Oh," She puts a hand on her chest, "lord! Thank god you feel better! I would've panicked even more if it was something else."

I laugh a little. You would've disown me if you found out your daughter is pregnant.

She gives me a kiss on my forehead and walks out of my room. I sigh and grab a sweater. I close my door and head downstairs.

"Sis? Where are you going at this hour?" Joshua asks from upstairs as I'm already downstairs to the door.

"Um just for a walk. Bye!" I smile and close the door before he even has time to ask any questions.

I'm glad for bringing a sweater because it was a little chilly. I walk to Isaiah's house since it isn't that far from mine. When I'm at the corner of his block I text him to let him know that I was going over. When I make it to his house I see him standing outside the house gate.

I can't help but admire him. His short wavy light brown hair. His perfectly tanned skin. His beautiful green eyes. The way his plaid shirt with khakis and white vans go perfectly handsome on him.

"Hey Babe." He smiles. I jog to him and give him a hug. He wraps his arms around me and immediately I forgot why I came to his house to begin with.

"Hey Baby." I smile as I place my head on his chest. He places small kisses on my forehead. We don't talk but both of us just feel so better with just us together. When he's mad we hug and immediately he feels better. And its same with me. He makes me feel this way.

"So why so suddenly did you want to meet, Babe? It's always me calling you to come outside at night." He smiles like he's remembering those moments.

"It's nothing." I smile. You have something to tell him. I stop smiling, "Oh..well..there is something we need to talk about."

He looks down at me confused.

"What is it, Baby?"

"Isaiah....do you love me?" Why ask him that?! I know he does.

"Yes, Baby! I love you more than anything!" He hugs me tightly. That was all I needed to hear from him.

"Baby, I'm pregnant."

He lets me go. He backs up a bit and looks at me. He laughs nervously.

"You're joking, right? Baby it's not April fools."

"I'm not playing. Why would I joke?"

"I....I can't believe this." He shakes his head.

"I wish I was joking. But I'm not. I mean it."
