The Script title references!
You hear that? No, not the sirens I'm sleeping with, instead the beautiful sound of a new band book!
This is the third instalment of my original band books, so if you haven't already, go on and read the first two before...

And me being me, I knew who Tegan and Sara were (bisch I'm Sara I know myself. Duh.) but I had no idea what their music was like. So I checked them out.
Disclaimer: I listened to around four or five songs just to get the idea of them. Don't kill me for not knowing their history and just checking out the hits.
My thoughts are as follows...
Their 2007, 2010 music is pretty good. I wouldn't pay to see them live, though would MAYBE play them every now and again. They're nothing too special for me personally, though I understand why many people love them.
But the 2016 shit they released? Nothing much. Nothing at all, really. I appreciate their attempts, but it's not something I'd listen to. Like, ever.
So now we must consider that these girls:
Who have gone from okay music to forgettable shit, are collaborating with the dudes who have gone from:
To:
.
Am I the only one seeing the problem here?!
ALL TIME LOW ARE SAYING "DEAR MARIA, COUNT ME THE FUCK OUT OF THE POP PUNK GENRE 'CAUSE WE'RE SELLING OURSELVES OUT TO PLAIN POP"!
"DIRTY LAUNDRY" WASN'T AN EXPERIMENTAL SONG; IF THEY'RE COLLABORATING WITH THESE GALS, THIS IS GONNA BE AN EXPERIMENTAL A L B U M . IT MIGHT EVEN BE THEIR PERMANENT CAREER PATH.
AND IT'S RATHER CONVENIENT THAT THEY DO THAT NOW, Y'KNOW, AFTER SIGNING TO PETE WENTZ. (Speaking of the devil, I'm currently listening to The Academy Is... and they were signed to the Ramen Dudes. Wentz & Co. are infesting the scene...) (By the way: tori_newmancompletely_ectopic be proud of me, I used the "and" symbol!)
