Let's face it: I wasn't too impressed with "Dirty Laundry" and you probably weren't either.
So with that in mind, All Time Low decided to release a second single, title track "Last Young Renegade".
I know that literally nobody wants to hear my thoughts again, especially after I posted three(?) consecutive "Dirty Laundry" chapters, but I'm still gonna continue with this review.
I'm just gonna comment on the video before I get to the song: it's all good, tying in with the "Dirty Laundry" video (so we can expect at least a four-part series; one for each member's jacket (heard this idea on YouTube from PrettyOddGaming in the comments section) or a FOB-style thing 'cause Fuelled By Ramen.) But I just wanna point out that the girl in the relationship goes from looking twenty, to twelve, to seventeen, to a forty-year-old mother who's just been dedicated a song at the concert she took her emo son to.
Onto the song:
This is an improvement from "Dirty Laundry". The lyrics are really damn good, slightly cliche but I still really like it. The instrumentals are actually made using instruments! They're not as produced and fake as on the previous song, though soft and mellow.
Alex's vocals in the chorus = my aesthetic. Well, one of my aesthetics. They're the good ole' All Time Low that I know and love! We get some of those nostalgic feels throughout the verses as well, though the beginning sounds extremely auto tuned and heavy. Quite frankly, it ruins the song a bit. The instruments could've been slightly louder, too.But a pretty good song overall.
And to think I was about to give up on ATL...

Hey guysss.
I might have awesome news coming up. But I also might not. It all depends on what happens in the next week. (Some of y'all know what I'm talking about.)
I'll just say this: Safia, The Interrupters, Harbours, Neck Deep and Spiderbait.
Also: I've mentioned this on Twitter before but can fan fictions be edited a bit more? Stories in general, really. I understand if English isn't someone's first/fluent language or if grammatical rules aren't your best friend but I wanna read a story and not forget how to spell. I've literally seen twenty eight spellings of the same word.
The simple errors as well - autocorrect changing "orgasm" to "orange" - (I read Kellic fanfiction, sue me) tend to annoy me, because it's not a one-off thing. I don't wanna be reading "orange" thirty six times in a chapter that isn't supposed to include that word. By that stage they may as well name it The Orange Fic.
Writing in Internet-speak for effect is fineeee! But dnt mke it evry wrd!!1!1!
Also "write" and "right". Just no.
(I won't get started on cliche plots and stealing people's ideas at this point.)And I know that half of the stuff I write doesn't make sense. I read through it and understand it perfectly 'cause it's basically me reading through my thoughts but after a few months when I look back at it, I literally think I was drunk when I published it. So if that's the case with some writers then FINE. But don't use "orange" for "orgasm".
So yeah. Check your stories and expect news.
Live long and headbang,
xx-Sara B
