"Philip, you toast the marshmallows, you're good at that." Theodosia said, handing Philip the bag after the group of friends had finally been herded outside.

The sun had set an hour ago and the star's and moon were out, bathing the yard in a silver glow.

Philip hummed and took the bag, sticking a marshmallow on the metal rod so it could be cooked.

While holding it over the flames Philip snuck a glance at George. By now, all the cats has climbed onto his lab, each of them curled up against him.

Philip found it funny how only a week ago he had wanted to kill George and now he was resisting the urge to 'aww' at the cute scene sitting next to him.

"Have any of you happened to have dinner before you came over?" Philip's Dad asked, opening the sliding door.

A chorus of no's answered him.

"I'll ask Alex to bring some pizza or something home for all of you. And I'll bring some blankets out for you too, it's chilly out here." He added as an afterthought.

"Marshmallow's ready." Philip remarked, swinging the stick around so Theodosia could put it between some graham crackers and chocolate.

"Here you go, George," Theodosia said, leaning across Philip to hand him the s'more "First s'more of not only the night, but your whole life."

George took it and observed it for a moment before talking a bite. His eyes lit up.

"I can't believe I've never had one of these before." he murmured.

"So I take it that you like it?" G asked from across the fire pit. George nodded.

"Hey, David, you know what would look even better in your mouth than a s'more?" Richard asked, leaning over and poking David's cheek. "My d-"

"DEARLY BELOVED WORDS OF GOD AND THE BIBLE!" Theodosia yelled over him.

"In times like these I start to wonder why I ever bothered to befriend you people." William sighed.
