George's Phone buzzed.

G: Where are you? I sent you to get snacks like an hour ago, did something happen?

"Who's that?" Philip asked, snuggled up next to George as they watched Pocahontas on Philip's laptop.

"G wanting to know where we are." George answered.

"You should tell him we murdered someone, and now we're hiding the body." Philip said.

"No, Philip." George said, kissing Philip's forehead.

Me: Ya something happened.

G: Are you ok?! What happened???

Me: Philip and I kissed and now we're eating the food we bought with your money and watching Pocahontas

George's phone buzzed again, but be shut it down instead of reading the text.

He moved a bit so he and Philip were more comfortable, and continued watching the movie.

-SMALL THING FROM FRANCES-

Frances knew that Philip was in love before it even crossed his mind that George Eacker might mean something to him.

She could see it on his face the way she always could with his feelings.

She first noticed it when she was sitting with him in the hospital, watching his arm get wrapped up in a cast.

Theodosia had mentioned George, and Philip had perked up and asked if he was ok.

Frances had scolded him for caring when George had just broken his arm.

"He's fine Philip, you didn't even lay a finger on him. Why do you even care? He broke your arm." She had said.

Philip had laughed and said "True, I don't actually care, I just wanted to see if I got any good punches in."

Frances knew he was lying, even if he didn't. She saw it on his face and she saw it in his eyes- her little brother was in love.

She wanted to slap him, then, and tell him to get over George, because the boy obviously wasn't good for Philip, but she didn't.

Philip would probably get over him quickly anyways, like all his other crushes.

But instead Philip befriended George, which Frances didn't expect. Instead of getting over his crush Philip's feelings only grew. Frances watched her little brother fall more and more in love.

Part of her wanted to pull him away and tell him to stay away from George, because the boy had already hurt him once, and she didn't want to see him cause her little brother any pain ever again.

But Philip's feelings only grew deeper, and Frances had the feeling Philip knew how he felt about George by now. She also realized how kind and gentle George was to Philip, and how he seemed to love Philip more than he loved himself.

Frances realized that maybe George was good for Philip.

And then George and Philip got into a fight.

It wasn't super big or dramatic, but Frances saw the way it bore upon Philip, and she realized how much George meant to Philip.

Frances planned to do something to make them forgive each other, but G beat her to it.

G sent them off to get snacks together, even though the party wasn't really running out of food. It was the perfect way to make George and Philip become friends again, and both she and G knew it.

45 minutes passed and the pair hadn't returned. Frances knew something had happened, but she didn't know what.

Frances asked G if he knew anything, and he said they were probably making out somewhere, and he'd tell her if he learned anything.

So Frances let Theo take her home.

She kissed her girlfriend goodnight and watched her car drive away before stepping inside the house. Halfway up the stairs her phone buzzed. It was G saying that George had texted him that he and Philip kissed and were now watching Pocahontas somewhere, but George wasn't answering his texts anymore. Frances reached the landing and maneuvered the piles of books. She could hear Colors of the Wind playing from Philip's room.

Frances smiled. George was good for Philip, and she was glad her brother was happy with him.

In the morning Frances stopped outside Philip's room again before carefully opening the door.

George and Philip were snuggled up together on the bed, Philip's laptop charging on the floor.

Frances smiled as she realized what kind of love this was. It was the love she saw in her dads when the laughed with each other after failing to bake something successfully. It was the love she saw between her moms when the curled up on the couch together and made fun of reality TV shows. It was the love she felt whenever Theodosia smiled at her. Philip and George had a love that would last, and Frances knew it.

George blinked, and sat up, suddenly awake and aware of Frances looking at them.

"Is something wrong?" George asked.

"Promise me you'll look after my brother." Frances replied.

"I promise. Why did you want me to?"

"Because Philip is incredibly in love with you, and if you hurt him I will make sure they never find your body."

(Frances loves Philip, and would kill you or fuck up your life terribly if you ever hurt him)
