"What's your best coffee?" I asked slightly embarrassed at the front of the coffee line. I was never really Starbucks savvy but I had hit an all nighter with work last night and I had just stopped for a break.

"Well ma'am what kind of coffee are you looking for?" The cheery girl asks from behind the counter. I wouldn't even have been here if my coffee machine hadn't broken on Thursday.

"Um just normal. The kind I make at home," I continued to try and get my point across without sounding more stupid. She just smiled looking exasperated. "You know what how about just a normal cup of normal coffee. The middle size, um the regular flavor, nothing fancy at all." I give up on any type of special drink.

"That ma'am I can do," the cashier smiles and I'm grateful of her kindness. "Ok that'll be $4.35. Just take a step aside and wait for your name to be called," she instructed.

I handed her the money and told her my name. I walked over to the side. I stood there and looked out into the sunny September morning. My phone began to ring. "Hello?" I answer.

"Hey Charlie where are you?" My best friend rings over the phone.

"Getting coffee my machine broke." I suddenly remember how I forgot to get coffee for her.

"Oh well it's fine I don't want any anyway. I was just calling to tell you we're going out tonight."

"Charlotte," the barista calls from behind the counter. I walk over and grab my cup of coffee and head back to my car.

"Um no we're not," I answer back.

"Yes we are. I have two more days until I go back to New York and all I've done here is watch you type. You owe me at least one good night."

"Fine where are we going?" I start my car and head for my house.

"There's a birthday party on the rooftop of the Aries Hotel. You were invited and you still decided not to go."

"Yea I thought I would be working tonight."

"Well you're not. I've already RSVP'd. So come home, get some sleep, and we'll sort your outfit out when you're awake and pretty again," she says. I take a quick glance at what I'm wearing.

I have on sweat pants, an old band tea, a grey zip up hoodie, and my glasses. Not to mention my totally messy hair pulled back into a loose pony tail. I think I look pretty now.

"Ok whatever," I roll my eyes. "See you in like 5 minutes." I round the corner and speed down the street. I pulled into the parking structure and walked to my pint house apartment.

I walked inside and was attacked with hugs and kisses from my dog. "Hey Napoleon did you miss me?" I bent down and picked him up. He kissed my face. "Yes you did."

"That little dog is a monster," my best friend said walking into the living room to greet me.

"Don't you dare talk about Napoleon that way. He can hear you, you know," I say covering his ears.

"Whatever," she rolls her eyes and walks back to my room.

"Oh Mickey come back," I call after her. She doesn't stop. I set Napoleon down and follow her into my room.

"So you should seriously get some sleep if we're going out tonight," she said sitting criss cross on my bed.

"I don't need sleep. I'm fine," I lied.

"I don't even think you believe that," she said and rolled her eyes. I took of my shoes and sipped the last of my coffee. Yes, I drank it all on the ride home. I threw the cup into the trash bin in the corner of my room.

I laid down on my bed next to where Mickey was sitting.

I woke up at around 8:30 p.m. I guess she was right. I was tired. I looked around and Mickey wasn't on my bed anymore. I got up and walked into my living room. She wasn't there either.

Then I heard her open my bathroom door. I turned around she was standing in the hall way with a towel wrapped around her naked body.

"Finally you're awake. Go take a shower and get ready. You've been sleep for like ever." She said and walked back to the guest room. I rolled my eyes and walked to my bedroom.

I got in the shower and when I got out my clothes were laying on my bed like I was a four year old. I looked at the outfit Mickey chose for me. I small black dress that hung off of one the shoulders, red neon accessories, and black pumps that were at least four inches long. I accepted the outfit and started on my hair.

I curled my strawberry blonde locks and pinned the front up, letting the rest fall down on my back. I was just finishing putting everything on when Mickey walked into the room.

"Woah you look great," she said staring at me. I turned around and looked at her. She was wearing a short peach dress with a dropping vneck and long cut out sleeves. Her long usually mess of curly wild her was now straightened perfectly.

"Well your not to bad yourself," I complimented back. She did a little twirl and giggled.

"I know," she smiled and walked over to the front of the mirror with me. "We are so sexy. Now let's go party hardy."

~

We got to the top of the hotel and the party was already in full swing. We headed for the bar wanting alcohol in our systems immediately.

We got to the bar and ordered our drinks. First a round of shots of course. "I have to pee," she whispered in my ear and I nodded my head ok. She quickly left me by myself at the bar.

I turned my head around and that's when I saw them. All five of them but I quickly focused on one. The four boys walked over to where I was sitting all laughing and smiling.

"Charlie!" Niall said when they finally got close enough to notice me. I smiled.

"Boys!" I mocked enthusiasm.

"It's great to see you again," he said hugging me. I hugged the rest of the boys and they ordered they're drinks.

"Hey Charlie," Harry smirked down at me. I looked into his big green eyes.

"Harry," I let out weakly.

"Long time no talk," his voice was low and slow.

"Yeah well only by choice right," I say standing up from my chair.

"I wanted to talk to you. You're the one who said you didn't want anything to do with me," he said. I rolled my eyes and walked to the booth the boys and Mickey were sitting in. "Charlie!"

"Yes Harry?" I didn't want to talk. I was being childish and I know it but there was just something about him that made me act this way.

"You didn't do that whole rock star thing remember," he said and I got even more mad.

"Yea Styles and I still don't, so please excuse me." I walked to the bong that stood in the middle of the booth and took a long hit holding it in my lungs for a second then letting it all out. I kept doing it until the buzz finally hit me. I downed about three more drinks and I was in the full swing of the party.

Mickey and I went out to the dance floor, joining the drunken crowd. We danced and I eventually lost her in the music next thing I know someone's hands are on my hips. I turn around to see Harry and stop dancing.

"It's just a dance," he said almost sounding annoyed. It wasn't just a dance. I knew it wasn't and so did he. It was never just a dance between me and Harry Styles.
