Chapter Thirty-three

Tessa positively vibrated with her happiness when she saw the marks on both Audrey and Roan's neck. She now wasn't surrounded just by her brothers, but had a new sister. Drake felt happiness for his brother, but a part of him hoped that he too would find the mate meant for him. "Congratulations! I'm so happy for the both of you!" Tessa gushed, bringing Audrey in for a warm hug. "Welcome to our family! Oh, mother will be so thrilled."

Audrey's eyes widened at the mention of their mother, she felt her nerves grow. "And, when will I meet your mother?" Audrey turned her attention to Roan and nearly forgot her nerves and the question when she took in his appearance. She'd think she would get used to how handsome he was, but every time she saw him it was as if she were seeing him for the first time.

Roan grinned wickedly as he walked to Audrey and his arms around her. Since the marking, he hadn't been able to keep his hands to himself and that included when he taught her to bring on her fangs and feed for the first time. It didn't help that she'd been completely bare, leaving every inch of her sweet, silky skin to his touch. "We have to take care of a few things while we're here, but once that's done and only when you're ready will we head to my mothers."

Audrey frowned, she didn't know exactly where his mother lived, so decided to ask. "Where does your mother live?"

Roan frowned, then his eyes widened. He had never told Audrey where he was from or where his family lived. He felt a bit guilty now. "My mother lives in Paris."

"What?" Audrey asked, "in Paris?" She thought about it, frowning. She'd never been outside of the states and figured it would be a fun adventure, but she still had some questions to be answered, not that they would make much difference. "Where do you live Roan? I'm assuming that neither you or Drake are really planning to live in this cabin."

"No. We didn't plan on it, we also live in Paris." Roan moved his hands soothingly up and down over Audrey's back.

"Okay.." Audrey nodded slowly, "alright. So what do you have to do before we leave for Paris?"

Roan looked to Drake, "Drake and I have to take care of Raven's body." There was more, but Roan didn't yet want to get into that with an audience. He smiled when an idea popped into his head. "How about some pizza. Tessa and Drake can go get it."

When Roan gave his younger sibilings a pointed look, the both agreed by smiling and nodding. "Of course, just tell us what kind and we'll happily get it." Drake said, looking to Audrey.

"I'm not picky when it comes to pizza, so anything will do."

Drake nodded, grabbed his sister by the arm and pulled her with him out of the house. "Why did Roan want us gone?" Tessa asked, making Drake sigh.

"He has to explain what being one of us really means. You must remember Tess, she was mortal before." Drake looked to his sister, noting the look of sympathy.

"She'll have us.. She'll be okay.." Tessa said confidently.

Drake didn't comment further, but slide up in the truck and drove out of the drive way. Hoping that by time he an Tessa returned that things would be kosher.

Short chapter, sorry. But, have about three-four more chapters and then Roan Black will come to and end.
