"You know one day you'll realize how undeniably sexy I am," James said. He roamed around their common room holding his dress shirt and jacket in hand while fumbling with his belt. "I don't see why I have to dress up for this...bloody parents. They want me to meet them for dinner with Dumbledore and Sirius. I bet it's their plan to finally expel us for all the stuff we've done."

"Mhm," Lily didn't even look up from her book. 

He sat beside her buttoning up his shirt. "Would you be a dear and grab my tie?" Lily set down her book and grabbed his maroon tie resting on the table. "I can't believe you look at this," he gestured to his body, "and not want to touch it."

"That's what you have Sirius for."

James shrugged, "If anything he'd go for Remus."

"I'm immune to your tricks James, you've only been trying them for a few years. And you're going to be late."

James walked towards the portrait but spun on his heels back at Lily, "Be my date?"

"I would but I have something called dignity. And homework."

"Fine, fine. I'll be back."

"I'll be here."
