Lily sat in Divination, resting her head against her palm while Marlene tried to finish her dream log. She didn't know why she signed up for the class - Professor Nook was mad. Madder than the hatter, she'd always say. Though only muggleborns would understand the reference.

Across the room sat James and Sirius. She had a feeling James only signed up for the class because she was in it and somehow roped Sirius into joining. They looked as if they were going to fall asleep staring into the crystal ball. Or probably trying to test if they could see each other through it.

"Mr. Pottter, what do you see?"

James snapped up, looking into the crystal ball, then smirked. Lily could've sworn it was directed at her. "Er - well I see Evans and I on a date in Hogsmeade drinking butterbeer. So I suppose that means we're going on a date, huh Evans?"

"Ah yes - that very well could be the future," Professor Nook said. "Insightful..." She turned around to the next group, whipping James with her long curly black hair.

James leaned back and whispered, "Hey Evans!"

She looked at him, raising an eyebrow. "No."

"You didn't even know what I was going to ask!"

"Okay, what Potter?"

James ran a hand through his hair and bit his lip nervously. "Er - Do you want to go to Hogsmeade?" Lily rolled her eyes and turned back to Marlene who was staring back with a smug look. "So I take it as a yes?"

"No. My answer is no."

"That's not what the crystal ball said..." Sirius chimed in.

"The crystal ball is a load of crap just like this class!" she whispered murderously.

Professor Nook came around to her table and stared into her crystal ball. "And Miss Evans, what do you see?"

Lily turned back to the crystal ball shooting a glare at James. "I see myself hexing Potter in the next few minutes."

"Oh - you wound me Evans! Right in the heart!"

He dramatically pressed his left hand to the right side of his chest and fell back off his chair. Sirius ran to his side and lifted his head.

"Evans! You killed my best mate! How could you?"

Lily glanced over at the two boys who lay on the ground and she rolled her eyes. "Your hearts on the other side of your chest, Potter."
