"Freakin' hell. Just what we needed." Bulong ni E.J. Tumayo si E.J mula sa kinauupuan saka nilapitan si Riordan. "Now, I know we've been best friends since we were 14 years old kaya alam ko kung ano ang magagawa mo pag may nalalaman kang confidential. But I trust you with this one—" Seryosong sabi ni E.J sa kabigan na hanggang ngayon ay bakas pa rin sa mukha ang pagtataka.
"Are you sure about this E.J?" Blaise butted in, unsure whether they should be telling their conversations to Riordan. Panigurado siyang madadamay pati ang problema ng kapatid niya.
"Have faith Blaise."
"Ano ba talaga 'to?"
"Let's say, may nanloko sa kapatid namin. But I think, Esquivel here's got some revelations. I'll fill you in on our earlier conversations. Pierce?" Tumingin na si E.J sa direksyon ni Pierce para ipagpatuloy ang naudlot niyang kwento.
"Like I said before, I went to a café first to grab some lunch before heading to Riordan's place when I saw Zayelee outside the café. I saw her facebook before and I thought she looked familiar. Damn, I had to check Blaise's facebook account again just to be sure. And yeah I was right. She was actually looking inside the café. Magpapakilala sana ako sa kanya because E.J told me that we'll meet her on the island eventually but I didn't. Baka ma-creepy-han lang siya sakin. I was confused why she just stood out there at tiningnan ko kung kanino siya tumititig and it brought me to a table of couple, kissing together. I was just next to them so alam kong hindi ako nagkakamali. Bakit nga ba siya iiyak kung wala namang masakit sa nakikita niya? Plus, I heard the guy saying he'll try and stop talking to Lee. So, I summed it all up that he's dating her or something and yet he's with another girl."
"Wait, so paano mo naki— tatanong pa sana si Riordan kagaya ng tinanong ni Ryder ngunit tinignan siya ng masama ni Blaise kaya't napatahimik na lang siya at diretsong tumingin kay Pierce. "Eto na nga eh. Makikinig na."
"After I waited for my order, nandun pa rin sila so I pretended that I was waiting for someone there. I think it was my lucky day when the girl left first. I didn't want to have to talk to the guy with her around. Lumabas din yung lalaki afterwards so I thought I should follow him. Pagkalabas ko, saka ko lang napansing wala na pala doon si Zayelee."
"So anong ginawa mo?" muli na namang tanong ni Riordan.
"Can you just please let him finish Ri?" naiirita ng tugon ni Blaise. Ryder and E.J just chuckled at them. On the other hand, Riordan just showed him his middle finger in return.
"Anyway, tinuruan ko siya ng leksyon. The guy deserves it. I thought you guys would be pleased. He didn't deny her anyway when I mentioned her name. Guilty ang gago." Napatayo ang magkapatid saka hinagkan si Pierce na muli na namang nagulat. Remembering that situation made him feel angry towards that guy.
"That's my man!" E.J and Blaise have smiles on their faces. They couldn't believe that the man of few words actually did something like it. Napapalakpak naman si Ryder at Riordan sa rebelasyon ng binata.
"This calls for a celebration!" tinapik-tapik naman ni Blaise at Ryder ang balikat ni Pierce bago sila tuluyang lumabas ng kanilang cottage.
"My shout this time Ri." Nakangiting sabi ni E.J
"Mabuti naman! Balato mo na kay Esquivel."
"Why me? I don't even drink that much." Depensa naman ni Pierce sa sarili.
"Syempre, you did something for them... and their sister." Tugon ni Ryder at inakbayan ang kaibigan.
"Saglit lang guys. Daanan ko lang si Zayelee. I need to wake her up. We'd better play volleyball bago tayo uminom."
