Chapter 6

"Hey baby sis, Saige rang me. She said you're not answering her calls since yesterday. What happened to your phone?" Zayelee forgot na tatawagan pala siya ng kaniyang kaibigan kahapon. She was too preoccupied about everything yesterday and besides, sinadya niya talagang patayin ang kanyang cellphone dahil ayaw niya munang makausap si Kean.

"Uhm, you happened? So yeah, I forgot to charge my phone." Simple niyang sagot with a smile on her face. She's hoping he can't see right through her.

"Okay, well, she said to give her a ring ASAP. You can use the telephone here at home because I'm heading somewhere. You be okay here? I'll be back soon." E.J still suspects his sister but she definitely deserves the benefit of the doubt. Maybe it's not a big problem after all.

"Of course Kuya. Go ahead. Have fun!"

"See ya!"

"What happened to your phone? I've been calling you for like, a thousand times!" sunod-sunod na tanong ng kanyang kaibigan sa kabilang linya, seconds before she can even say 'Hello'. She can see her raging face on now.

"I forgot to charge it, Saige. What's happening to you? Are you ok?" naga-alalang tanong niya sa kaibigan.

"Ugh, I can't talk to you over the phone Lé. So...can I come over?"

"Yes please! That sounds like an emergency or something."

"Sure does! See yaa! Love ya!"

"Love you too. See ya."

Zayelee was about to change her top when she heard their doorbell. Hindi na siya nag-atubiling tapusin ang pagpapalit sa pag-aakalang ang kaibigan niya ang nasa labas. Baka mas lalong uminit ang ulo noon lalo pa't mukhang may matindi itong problema.

"Hey Sai—oh my gosh!" Zayelee was surprised to see the person in front of her. Dali-dali siyang tumalikod at tumakbo papunta sa kaniyang kwarto para kunin ang kaniyang naiwang t-shirt. She was only wearing her bra thinking it was Saige! How can she be so stupid! Pagkatapos niyang magpalit ay bumaba na siya sa kanilang hagdan para harapin ang tinalikuran niyang tao kanina.

"I'm so sorry about that Riordan. What are you doing here?" Zayelee is still embarrassed about what just happened. Riordan is one of her brothers' best friends. She can say that he's not bad for a friend. He's fun to be around with pero they haven't got to hangout more than him and her brothers did, that's why hanggang ngayon ay tanging si Saige lamang ang kanyang kaibigan. Childhood friend ng kaniyang mga kuya ito at halos magkakapatid na ang turingan at kung maka-labas pasok siya sa kanilang tahanan ay parang pag-aari niya na rin ito.

"Uy, si Zayelee nagba-blush! Don't worry, I've seen bigger boobs." Nakangiti niyang tugon saka umupo sa sofa.

"Hoy, sama mo ah! Hindi naman kaliitan ang boobs ko! Sapakin kita dyan eh!" she defended at saka tinamaan niya ng throw pillow ang binata.

"Aray, masakit ha. Kakatapos ko lang kaya magpa-derma!"

"Ikaw? Nagpapa-derma?" nabigla si Zayelee sa sinabi nito. It's the first time she heard na may lalaki palang nagpapa-derma.

"Oo naman! Syempre kelangan laging malinis yung face para more girls."

"Tse! Anong ginagawa mo dito?"

"About that, where's E.J?" tanong nito habang sinisimulang i-on ang kanilang TV.

"He's out. I thought he was with you." She replied as she propped up herself beside him. "Saige should be here by now." With that ay tumunog ang kanilang doorbell.

"Speaking of the devil, I better get going. Please tell E.J I'm looking for him."

"Okay, get out of here." She said bago binuksan ang kanilang pintuan. "Saaaaaaige!!!" Zayelee feels so happy right now that her best friend is here. Both of them squealed like there's no tomorrow.

"Ugh, you girls are so loud. Hi Piper!" singit ni Riordan.

"Oh, hi Riordan! What's he doing here?" Saige asked after she hugged Zayelee back.

"I'm here you know. See ya girls! Remember, no boys allowed!" Riordan shouted before he left and drove away.
