Chapter 33 - Saving Private Ambrose Pt.2

Thursday -7/10/18- Overnight more work was done in the police station to try to get more information on Dean's whereabouts. They tried to use CCTV cameras in case he had wandered into the city but after hours of analysis that didn't seem likely.

Paige, Seth and Roman woke up for another day of searching. Officer Charles got them to gather in his office. They obliged and it was for a good reason.

Officer Charles- "We took a picture of the cave that we believe your friend was staying in and I'll print you all a copy to take with you. We want the three of you to stay at the cave all of today and investigate it to see if anything has changed since we last visited it. Do you understand your task?"

Roman Reigns- "Yeah, of course."

Officer Charles- "Ok good, we leave here in fifteen minutes so get any last minute resources that you are taking."

Officer Charles handed each of the three a walkie talkie in case they needed to contact him.

Just like yesterday, the police trucks made the one hour journey to the Black Rock Desert. The truck that Seth, Paige and Roman were in went immediately to the cave.

The made the trek up the hill and into the cave. They were shocked by what they saw.

The Roddy Piper poster, the mattress and the empty suitcase were all gone. Paige went further into the cave to see a fire still burning in the fire pit.

Seth Rollins- "He left recently, we need to tell Charles."

Roman got out his walkie talkie and told Officer Charles exactly what they knew.

Roman Reigns- "We just got to the cave and the suitcase, poster and mattress are all gone. The fire pit is still there and a fire is currently burning in it."

Officer Charles- "He can't of gotten far."

Roman Reigns- "Didn't you say that yesterday?"

Officer Charles- "Well this time I actually mean it!"

Roman Reigns- "Relax dude."

Officer Charles- "Look around the outskirts of the cave for him but wait within a one hundred yard radius of the cave until my men get there. I can't lose you guys, that Paul Levesque guy would murder me."

Roman just laughed and he, Seth and Paige abided by Officer Charles' orders.

The three looked around the area but they still were unable to find Dean or find any evidence that could bring them closer to finding him. They were convinced that today would be exactly like yesterday and that they would never find Dean.

The police came and did their thing and wrote reports, took pictures and just overall investigated the scene for the whole day but they didn't come any closer to finding Dean or any more leads on where he could be.

Officer Charles was growing frustrated. The man was the head of the police department and couldn't find the whereabouts of a teenager even with the help of hundreds of professionals and the people who knew the teenager better than anyone. It hit eight at night and it was pitch black in the desert.

Officer Charles- "We should call it quits, everyone get back to the trucks and we will come back tomorrow."

Paige Bevis- "You are just going to give up?"

Officer Charles- "We will come back tomorrow and look I said. Now come on let's go."

Paige Bevis- "No I'm not leaving this cave until Dean walks in."

Officer Charles- "Come on Paige we need to get going."

Roman leaned in to talk to Charles quietly.
