Chapter 28 - School Dance Date

Dean was looking up at the beautiful night sky, lit up by the moon and the stars and smiled as he got closer and closer to Brooke's Dad's Convenience Store, the point where they agreed to meet.

Hull Cogan and Brooke were standing talking to each other whilst Brooke waited for Dean. They came into Dean's sight and Dean smiled even more when he saw Brooke as she was wearing a spectacular deep blue coloured dress which prompted only one word to come to Dean's head.

Dean Ambrose(thought)- "Beautiful."

Dean walked over to them.

Dean Ambrose- "These are for you Brooke I hope you like them."

Dean handed Brooke the flowers.

Brooke Cogan- "Dean, you didn't need to do that for me but they are beautiful and it's so sweet of you to do."

Brooke hugged Dean and kissed him on the cheek.

Dean and Brooke got into Hull's car and he drove them to Brooke's school, the location of the dance.

Hull Cogan- "If she doesn't come back I'm coming for you Ambrose. Don't stay out too late but of course have fun tonight."

Dean Ambrose- "You are a really good dad, mine just told me to pass him another packet of cigarettes or get him another beer but my mom said he'd never fight for me."

Hull Cogan- "I hope that you don't turn out like your dad."

Dean Ambrose- "Well I didn't get a fourteen year old pregnant so I think I'm doing a pretty good job so far."

Hull stared at Dean with a very confused look on his face.

Dean Ambrose- "It was obviously a joke man come on show a sense of humour. The girl was sixteen."

Hull didn't bother to try to make a conversation with Dean after that and dropped them off at the school. Dean and Brooke stepped out of the car. Hull drove away and Brooke took Dean's hand.

Dean Ambrose- "I think your dad really likes me."

Brooke laughed and the two went inside. Immediately everyone in the gym hall turned round and looked at Brooke and Dean who both stood awkwardly. Some people recognised Dean due to his job or from seeing him around the area.

Brooke Cogan(whisper)- "Try to act normal around my friends."

Dean rolled his eyes as Brooke took him over to her group of friends which consisted of three girls called Susan, Bailey and Marina.

Brooke Cogan- "Hey girls you all look fabulous. This is Dean the boy I was telling you guys all about."

Dean Ambrose- "Good evening ladies it is really nice to meet you. Brooke has said so many nice things about all of you."

Marina- "She has told us nice things about you too but I didn't expect you to look the way that you do.

Dean Ambrose- "It's all cool I get that all the time. You thought I was going to be some pretty boy in a suit right?"

Susan- "Well yeah those are the types of guys Brooke is usually into."

Dean Ambrose- "Well then doesn't that speak volumes about how ruggedly handsome and charming I am if I can change the type of guys a girl dates? I think so. I'm going to get myself a drink, do they serve alcohol here?"
