Chapter 46 - It Takes Time

Friday -5/11/18- It had been almost a week since Brie left and still Roman was moping around the place.

He was so sad that Brie was gone and hadn't found that person go full the void she left, although, it was obvious to everyone else who the person that would fill the void would be, Roman just had to realise it too.

On the way to training, Dean tried to cheer him up.

Dean Ambrose- "Roman, it doesn't matter that Brie is gone, you've still got me and Seth."

Roman Reigns- "I can't kiss you two though."

Dean Ambrose- "Well you could but I don't think Paige or AJ would like it."

Roman Reigns- "So you're not objecting on behalf of yourself?"

Dean went bright red.

Dean Ambrose- "That wasn't what I meant, man. You knew what I was saying."

Roman Reigns- "I appreciate that you're trying to make me feel better but I just need time to think."

Dean Ambrose- "You've been thinking for a week, buddy. Maybe it's time to move on, move forward with your life.

Roman Reigns- "Maybe you're right. You know Dean, many of the things that you say have a weird wisdom about them."

Dean Ambrose- "I've been told that before."

Roman Reigns- "Maybe that's because it's true."

Dean Ambrose- "One more thing, never make eye contact with someone whilst eating a banana."

Roman Reigns- "Noted."

The rookies got to the Performance Centre. Normally the rookies would chat for a bit whilst working in the weights room but Roman was so focused that he put his earphones on and got to work, lifting more than he ever had before.

Finn and Sami stood from afar and noticed that Roman was more focused than ever before.

Sami Zayn- "Roman is killing it on the weights today."

Finn Balor- "Being sad must make him lift more."

Sami Zayn- "Well I've never seen him sad so I couldn't tell you."

Even Sasha and Nikki took notice of Roman's impressive strength, again, from afar.

Sasha Banks- "Is it just me or is Roman really intense today?"

Nikki Bella- "I noticed that too, he seems like he is lifting more and is more motivated to do so."

Sasha Banks- "He's just looking a little hotter too if I'm honest."

Nikki's face read a shocked expression.

Nikki Bella- "You have a thing for him?"

Sasha Banks- "No but I can gladly admit he's a good looking guy. You seem shocked that someone could like Roman but Paige told me yours and Roman's story."

Nikki Bella- "Yes, that was really crazy and I wish that I hadn't dated Miles and gotten into all that mess."

Sasha Banks- "So you do want things to work out all good for you and Roman?"

Nikki Bella- "Of course I do, I've known him for two years. Sure, we've had ups and downs but I've had ups and downs with Seth and Dean and we've made it work. I know that I can make it work with Roman."

Sasha Banks- "You seem desperate to make it work with him in particular."

Nikki Bella- "Maybe there are feelings there for him and that could be a reason why I want to be cool with him but I don't even know. It'd be a little weird since he dated my twin sister."

Sasha Banks- "That proves that he thinks you're pretty. I'm sure if you asked one of the guys they'd be able to tell you how Roman felt."

Nikki Bella- "If I need to choose between going to Seth or Dean, I'm choosing Dean. Seth will tell AJ and Dean has those morals about trusting people and stuff."

Sasha Banks- "What?"

Nikki Bella- "I'm going to find Dean."

Nikki walked away from Sasha and went over to Dean who was pretending he was fixing weights but in reality he was just skiving.

Nikki Bella- "Hey, Dean, I need I talk to you."

Dean Ambrose- "I don't know what you heard but that peacock was staring at me funny and he was just asking for a fight."

Nikki Bella- "You hit a peacock?"

Dean Ambrose- "I've said too much."

Nikki Bella- "Right.......anyway, that wasn't at all what I was going to ask you about. I wanted to ask, has Roman mentioned me recently."

Dean Ambrose- "Well, he himself hasn't but he keeps on saying that he needs to find someone who is similar to Brie but not the same. Me, Seth, Sami and AJ thought it was pretty obvious that you were what he was looking for but he hasn't fully realised that yet. I'd say give him some time and finally, when his head clears, he'll probably realise that you and him were meant to be together."

Nikki Bella- "Do you really think that me and Roman are meant to be together?"

Dean Ambrose- "I've seen your relationship with him go change for two years. The chemistry that you two have together is something I haven't seen in two people before."

Nikki Bella- "Thanks, Dean. You know what to say in the right situations."

Dean Ambrose- "That's not what the zookeeper said."

Nikki Bella- "I'll leave you to think about what you did at the zoo."

Nikki walked away laughing and went back over to Sasha.

Sasha Banks- "How'd it go?"

Nikki Bella- "Dean abused a peacock and said Roman will eventually realise he wants me."

Sasha Banks- "You need to stop talking to Dean."

Nikki Bella- "I just need to give Roman time."

And that is what Nikki did.

She gave Roman time.
