Chapter 55 - The Apology

Roman sat in his room with a pen and a jotter of paper just writing down everything that he planned to say to Sami and Nikki as soon as he was ready.

Roman Reigns(thought)- "It might take ten minutes or it might take ten years but I am making everything right with Sami and Nikki."

He kept writing and writing until he thought his wrist was going to break and kept scribbling out parts he thought were unnecessary or didn't sound good until he had perfected it but the more he criticised his own work the less and less words there were on the paper.

Eventually he was left with one side of A4 paper.

Roman Reigns(thought)- "It looks kind of short but it'll have to do. Now, I just need to wait for the right time to say what needs to be said."

Meanwhile, Nikki and Sami were out training in the Performance Centre and had the events of that morning to discuss heavily.

The two were running on treadmills beside each other, Sami had earbuds in but Nikki did not.

Nikki was thinking about what had happened with Roman so much that, finally, she had to ask Sami about it.

Nikki nudged Sami's arm. Sami turned to look at her and took one of his earbuds out.

Sami Zayn- "What's up?"

Nikki Bella- "I might be crazy but I can't stop thinking about what happened this morning with Roman. I don't want to have a problem with any of the guys or girls and I'm good with all the girls and you, Seth, Finn and Dean, it's just Roman that I often butt heads with."

Sami Zayn- "That's because you are a good person and he's a dick which is proven by the fact that you get on with everyone around here except him."

Nikki Bella- "Come on, Sami, there's no need to call him a dick."

Sami Zayn- "He threw a vase at my friend that was originally intended to hit me, I think I am well and truly entitled to call him a dick if I want."

Nikki Bella- "I think that me, you and Roman need to sit down and talk about this. Put all the cards on the table and discuss how we feel about each other, tonight."

Sami Zayn- "That sounds like a horrible idea. I don't want to be near him at all."

Nikki Bella- "Can't you do it, for me?"

Sami sighed.

Sami Zayn- "Fine, I'll do it for you."

Nikki Bella- "Thank you, in going to the vending machine for water and then I'm doing some weights, I'll talk to you later.

Nikki kissed Sami on the cheek as she stopped her treadmill and then walked away from him.

Sami Zayn- "What actually are we?! We sometimes kiss but aren't exactly dating and I'm confused!"

Nikki Bella- "As long as I have you continuing to guess, I'm doing a great job!"

Sami Zayn- "A great job of what?!"

Nikki laughed and kept walking to her destination.

For the rest of the day, just as Roman had done that morning, Sami plotted and planned out what he would say when he, Nikki and Roman would sit down together and settle their differences.

Many different ideas went through Sami's head about how he would approach the conversation.

Sami Zayn(thought)- "Should I be apologetic because I'm with the girl he wants, should I be aggressive because he tried to hit me with a freaking vase this morning and ended up hitting a friend or should I be calm because I didn't do anything wrong due to me not knowing how he felt about Nikki? I ask way too many questions, just do what you're comfortable with, Sami."

Eventually, it came to the time that Nikki and Sami (and the other trainees) had to make their way back to the apartments.

Nikki sat next to Sami on the bus and, happily, talked to him.

Nikki Bella- "Just be calm when you talk to Roman."

Sami Zayn- "I'll try to be, I am going to see Seth first though and you ain't stopping that from happening."

Nikki Bella- "I wanted to go see Seth anyway so we can go together."

Sami and Nikki, when the bus pulled up to the apartments, got out and went up to Seth's room where he was lying in bed. His face had a cut on it from a vase shard but he wasn't in a lot of pain.

Roman was sat by his bedside in a chair.

Seth Rollins- "Hey, Sami and Nikki, what's up?"

Sami Zayn- "We just came to see how you were doing but we didn't know you already had company."

Seth Rollins- "It's cool, I'm doing good, you can all get along for my sake, right?"

Roman Reigns- "Don't worry, I'll go."

Roman stood up and left.

Nikki Bella- "Seth, we will be right back, we need to do something quickly."

Nikki and Seth went into the corridor where Roman was walking back to his room.

Sami Zayn- "Roman, we need to talk!"

Roman turned around.

Roman Reigns- "Can I talk first? I have something that I need to say."

Nikki Bella- "Of course, go ahead."

Roman Reigns- "I just really want to apologise for the way that I reacted. I had absolutely no right to be like that, considering neither of you did anything wrong. If you two want to have a relationship, I can't stop you, you're two mature adults now."

Sami Zayn- "That means a lot Roman, thanks for, what is essentially, the blessing."

Nikki Bella- "It's really big of you to come forward and say that."

Roman Reigns- "So we are all good here?"

Sami Zayn- "I think so."

Roman Reigns- "Should we hug it out or is that a bit weird?"

Sami patted Roman's shoulder.

Sami Zayn- "That's a bit weird, man."

Sami and Nikki went to Nikki's room while Roman went back to Seth's.
