Chapter 56 - The Pact

Tuesday -30/11/18- The Shield, the night before, were backstage at Monday Night RAW and so, just like last week, they arrived back at the apartments in Florida very early in the morning.

This time there was no home welcoming from any of the other rookies as they were in bed, preparing their bodies for another day of training.

Dean, Seth and Roman tried to tiptoe their way upstairs, along the corridor and into their room but stopped in their tracks at the sound of a familiar voice.

Sami Zayn- "Hey, good to have you guys back."

Seth Rollins- "Why are you awake?"

Sami Zayn- "I couldn't sleep, I've had a lot to think about this week."

Roman Reigns- "If you need someone to talk to then I'm here for you."

Sami Zayn- "Much appreciated but I don't feel like talking about that right now. How was RAW?"

Seth Rollins- "It was pretty good, did you not watch it?"

Sami Zayn- "No, I was....um....busy."

Dean Ambrose- "You and Nikki were bumping uglies, huh?"

Sami Zayn- "There was no ugly bumping going on, I can assure you of that. We were just talking."

Seth Rollins- "What were you talking about that took up three hours of your time?"

Sami Zayn- "It's complicated."

Roman Reigns- "We are all ears."

<Flashback to Yesterday>

Sami was sitting in his room looking at things on his laptop when he heard a knock on the door.

Sami Zayn- "Come in."

It was Nikki Bella.

Sami Zayn- "Hey, what's up?"

Nikki Bella- "We need to talk again."

Sami Zayn- "I don't mean to sound like a dick but what is it now?"

Nikki Bella- "Just listen to what I have to say."

Sami Zayn- "Come take a seat on my bed."

Nikki sat on Sami's bed.

Nikki Bella- "I have been having strange thoughts as of late about two guys. One of them is you and the other is Roman. I'm not sure exactly what they mean but my brain is telling me that, eventually, I'm going to need to make a choice between the two of you about who I want to, hopefully, spend the rest of my life with."

Sami Zayn- "And, obviously, you'll pick me, right?"

Nikki Bella- "It is not as simple as that, Sami. If it was then I wouldn't be sat here telling you all of this. I'm not sure which one of you to pick and I don't want you to get mad especially considering that you and Roman have started to get on much better as of late."

Sami stood up and began pacing around the room.

Sami Zayn- "So, you are telling me that, when given the choice between a guy who has been nothing but nice to you, that's me by the way, and a guy who you have had a love hate relationship with for two years which has mainly consisted of hate, you aren't sure who to choose."

Nikki Bella- "You both mean a lot to me."

Sami Zayn- "I can't mean that much if this is even up for debate."

Nikki Bella- "Think about all of the good times we've had in the last year and then you'll see just how much you mean to me."

Sami Zayn- "When Roman wasn't around and Finn, Seth and Dean were all taken, only then did we start to really have good times."

Nikki Bella- "Leave Finn, Seth and Dean out of it for now. They don't mean anything in this conversation."

Sami Zayn- "Actually, they do, I bet, that if any of them were single, you'd date them over me."

Nikki Bella- "You're seriously being ridiculous now. You know that what you said isn't true."

Sami Zayn- "I wish I did know that but, unfortunately, I don't."

Nikki Bella- "You're not doing yourself any favours here in gaining brownie points to get me to choose you."

Sami Zayn- "I'm sure you'd love it if I ran after you and were your little lap dog but I'm not stooping to that level, I value my pride way to much. I'm going for a walk, feel free to let me know when you've come to a conclusion on who you're going to choose."

Nikki Bella- "Sami, wait!"

Sami Zayn- "I'm done waiting."

<Flash forward to present day>

Roman Reigns- "And you didn't go back?"

Sami Zayn- "Nope, I haven't talked to Nikki since that."

Seth Rollins- "Don't you feel like you should?"

Sami Zayn- "Not really, we had fun but I think I'm done with all of that."

Roman Reigns- "She's all open?"

Sami Zayn- "Roman, we can make a pact right now, whoever she wants, she gets, whether it's you, me or that Miles kid she told me about, the other person doesn't get mad and we stay friends regardless."

Roman Reigns- "I'm happy with that, I agree to it."

Dean Ambrose- "We need a handshake on this one."

Sami and Roman shook hands.

Sami Zayn- "I'm going to bed, good luck, friend."

Sami walked back to his room.

Roman Reigns- "How long do I need to wait before I go along to Nikki's room?"

Seth Rollins- "If you want to be a dick to Sami and just sit and watch her sleep then go right now but, if you don't want to be a dick and actually want a conversation with her, I'd go to sleep and go after her later."

Roman Reigns- "I'm going to bed then."

Dean Ambrose- "Good choice, buddy."

The Shield went to their rooms to sleep.
