Chapter 58 - Secret No More

Tuesday -7/12/18- It was another Tuesday where Dean, Seth and Roman arrived in Florida in the small hours of the morning.

They had been at RAW the night before and, just like the last few weeks, weren't needed for Smackdown and so were allowed to go back, via plane, to their apartments.

They tried to be as quiet as possible when making their way down the corridor and all made it to their individual rooms.

Dean opened his door and lay on his bed, it was dark but he remembered where everything in his room was. He rolled over and felt something unusual underneath him.

He reached over to his lamp and turned it on to see a white envelope on his bed.

Dean Ambrose- "I've got a bad feeling about this."

On the front of the envelope it said "To Dean..." and so he opened it.

Inside the envelope was a card with the number eighteen on the front.

Dean started reading the card.

Dean Ambrose- "To Dean, have a secret happy birthday, your secret is still safe with me, love from Nikki."

Dean laughed, quietly, to himself and put his card away in the drawer which sat by his bedside and went to sleep, expecting to wake up at around twelve midday but he was wrong.

Paige, like all the other rookies apart from Dean, Seth and Roman, woke up early to get prepared to go to training. She realised that she was missing her favourite trainers and, after looking around for them for a couple of minutes, realised that she left them in Dean's room.

She walked down the corridor and went into Dean's room. Paige, of course, knew that Dean did not ever lock the door of his apartment and, so, she opened his door slowly and tiptoed in.

She looked around in Dean's room for another couple of minutes until she got to his cupboard.

She pulled the door open and things fell and crashed out of it and onto Paige. Dean leapt up to his feet and, with a massive jump, hit an elbow drop on the pile on the floor.

Paige Bevis- "Dean, it's me, relax!"

Dean Ambrose- "Paige?"

Paige Bevis- "Yes!"

Dean pulled the pile off of Paige, pulled her up to her feet and dusted her off.

Paige Bevis- "You really need to get that cupboard tidied."

Dean Ambrose- "That wouldn't of been a problem if you hadn't been snooping around. As a matter of fact, why were you here?"

Paige Bevis- "I lost my training shoes and thought that I might of left them in here one night. I searched my own room from top to bottom and found nothing so I came next door."

Dean Ambrose- "Did you find any of them here?"

Paige Bevis- "In this pile I found one of the shoes, the left one specifically."

Dean Ambrose- "I'll try to help you find the second one. I would offer to give you a show but my feet are much bigger than yours."

Paige Bevis- "Thank you so much."

The couple spent some time looking around the room until Paige looked in Dean's drawer beside his bed. Dean was over the other side of the room looking down the back of his cupboard for Paige's shoe.

Paige, firstly, read the card to herself before confronting Dean.

Paige Bevis- "What the fuck is this?"

Dean's head whipped round and he saw the card in Paige's hand. His heart immediately sank.

Dean Ambrose- "I can explain."

Paige Bevis- "What is this little secret that you and Nikki have? Are you cheating on me with her? I'm going to kill her and you if that's the case."

Dean Ambrose- "Paige, just let me explain."

Paige Bevis- "Don't bother, I'll just borrow shoes off of Sasha, I'm out of here."

Paige stormed out the room and Dean ran into the corridor.

Dean Ambrose- "Come back and let me talk!"

Paige Bevis- "Go fuck yourself!"

Paige flipped off Dean while she walked to Sasha's room. Dean went back into his room, sat on his bed and sighed.

Dean Ambrose- "Why does crap like this always happen around here."

As the day went on, Paige and Nikki, coincidently didn't talk much. Nikki had no problem with Paige and didn't know what had happened between her and Dean that morning or that she was partially responsible.

Paige just seemed to give her the cold shoulder anytime a potential conversation was starting between the two.

Eventually, it was time for the rookies to go back to the apartments. They got the bus back, as always, and went up to their rooms.

All of them were shocked to see Dean Ambrose, sat up, laying against Paige's door.

Paige Bevis- "Dean, what are you doing?"

Dean looked up to see those who went to training staring at him.

Dean Ambrose- "I sat here from when you left until you got here because I needed to talk to you. As a matter of fact, I need to talk to all of you guys, can you get Seth and Roman out here?"

Finn and Becky went to Seth and Roman's room to get them out of bed to hear what Dean had to say.

Dean Ambrose- "Friends, brothers and whatever Finn is."

Finn Balor- "That's a dick move."

Dean Ambrose- "Anyway, I have been lying to all of you for quite some time now. My birthday is not actually January first, it is in fact December seventh. The only person who knew was Nikki and, Paige, that explains the secret in the card."

Seth Rollins- "I knew too."

Sami Zayn- "Yeah, Seth told me about it."

Roman Reigns- "Sami, I told Seth."

Sasha Banks- "Then you told me and AJ."

AJ Lee- "Yeah, I can confirm this."

Dean Ambrose- "Well shit, Roman, how'd you know?"

Roman laughed.

Roman Reigns- "Bro, I had to keep track of your passport when we went to Indianapolis."

Dean Ambrose- "And you never thought about bringing it up?"

Roman Reigns- "Nah."

Seth Rollins- "Was that all you had to tell us?"

Dean Ambrose- "Yeah."

Seth Rollins- "I'm going back to bed."

Nikki Bella- "I'm away to my room."

AJ Lee- "Same."

Finn Balor- "Bye, guys."

The rookies cleared out of the corridor until it was just Dean and Paige.

Dean Ambrose- "Are we good here?"

Paige walked towards Dean, kissed him on the cheek and then hugged him.

Paige Bevis- "We're more than ok, don't you worry."

Dean and Paige kept the hug going for longer.
