Y/N's P.O.V

We walked in silence for a while.  "Where are you headed?" Aaron asked after a while. "To the family of some friends. I met them a few months ago and they're really nice. My own family isn't really that... kind," I mumbled. "I see. I hope you can find happiness within your friends," He said making me softly smile.

We continued and eventually arrived at the house. As I ran the bell, Aaron asked: "What's the name of this family?" I opened my mouth to answer but the door opened before I could.

"Aaron Burr, sir?" Alexander asked as he fully opened the door. "Hamilton!" Burr gasped as he almost dropped the presents. "You know this guy?!" Aaron asked me. "... Yes?" I said a bit unsure. "Oof, well, I'm leaving," Aaron quickly said, handing me the gifts and turning around. "Nonsense, Burr. Come in," Alexander said and pushed him inside. I laughed for a bit until I dropped some of the gifts. I groaned and put everything down to pick all of them up again. As I was crouched down, someone crept up behind me.

"BOO!"

I skipped at least three heartbeats as I let out a shriek. As I was about to tumble over, two arms wrapped around my waist and pulled me down making me fall on my butt and into the person's chest. I looked up. It was John. "Don't do that ever again!" I whined as I relaxed.

"Sorryyyy," He smiled tightening his grip around me to give me a hug. As he helped me up, I couldn't refrain from asking: "Have you been drinking again?" He smiled but shook his head. "Someone told me to drink less and so I decided to drink less,"

'I told him that'

This brought a smile to my face. He got up and helped me up as well. "Can you help me bring these presents in?" I asked. "What's in them?" He asked as he picked some up. "You'll see," I sang and headed inside.

I put the presents under the big pine tree in the middle of the living room. As I did, I noticed someone standing under the door frame between the kitchen and living room. Alex. I gathered up all my courage and slowly walked up to him, preparing what I was going to say to him. After a moment of doing a back-and-forth with my hand, I tapped on his shoulder.

"Y-Y/N," He stuttered as he turned around. "Hey Alex," I said with a very slight smile. His lips were glued together and wouldn't reopen. "... About last time... Let's just forget what happened. I don't want this day to turn sour," I sighed. "I don't think I'm ready to fully forgive you but let's just be cool and enjoy each other's company," I said and looked up at him. He gave me a warm smile which made the image of his calm smile fade away. "You're too kind," He said before we engulfed in conversation.

I noticed Angelica staring at us from the other side of the room, so I excused myself to go talk to her. "How're you?" I asked with a smile. "I'm fine..." She sighed and kept staring at her brother. "Hey, about the shot," I said which made me catch her attention. "It's okay. We talked it out," This made her sigh and hug me. "You're too kind," She sighed which made me chuckle.

"I don't know about that," I smiled and hugged her back. As we parted, Philip came back inside from the cold outside and walked toward us. "Y/N! Glad you could make it," He grinned and grabbed my hands so he could place a kiss on it. "Why were you outside?" Angelica asked. Philip grinned and pulled out a little leaf with some red berries dangling from the bottom.

"Oh god, not you too!" Angelica groaned as she looked at the leaves. "What is that?" I asked. "There's this new thing in England. They hang mistletoe above a doorframe and if two people stand under it at the same time, they have to kiss," Angelica said. "Pretty much," Philip grinned as he raised it above his head and looked at me.

With a flick of her wrist, Angelica catapulted the plant on the ground. "But it's so stupid," She groaned and facepalmed. "But now we have it," Philip said and picked it up from the floor. "So we're going to use it," He hissed at his sister.

"Y/N, could you help me put this on the door frame?" He asked very politely. "No, she will not," Angelica sneered, shooting him down before he had the chance to touch Y/N. "If you want it to be hanged so badly, go do it yourself," She smiled, hooked her arm in mine and walked away with me.

Philip's P.O.V

"Did you get it?" I heard behind me. "Of course I did. Now I can finally steal a kiss from Y/N," I grinned. "Excuse me? She's going to kiss me, you idiot," John huffed and folded his arms.

"Try me, freckle face," I hissed. "You have freckles your f*cking self," He sneered back. "At least I look good with them," I said and looked at my nails. "We're an exact copy of each other," He face-palmed. "No, we're not," I denied.

I saw the gears in his head turn as his face lit up. "... I have an idea," He grinned. "Are you going to get yourself a face instead of stealing mine?" I asked. "No! Why would I- Nevermind. We should swap clothes," He said with a grin. "Why?" I asked with a frown.

"I don't know about you, Hamilton, but why do you think is going to have a better chance of stealing a kiss?" I bit on my tongue. "Really?" I asked going into deep thought. "Yeah, really," John nodded.

If Angelica thinks that I am John, she won't stop me from kissing Y/N.

"Okay, fine," I smiled. "Gimme your clothes," I said. "Maybe we should get a room?" John asked with a frown. "Coward," I coughed and headed up the stairs. "What was that?" He asked as he chased after me. I chuckled and ran up the stairs.
