Peaceful walking
Being at peace with oneself is never easy. In fact its part of loving ourself, our own self confidence, self love and self care. Standing up for ourselves when opportunities present themselves and when others treat us poorly are a couple examples of an act of self love. It's speaking that we deserve to be treated with the right and proper respect, treatment, care, love, affection and belonging that everyone as individual truly deserves regardless of what anyone in society has to say otherwise.
Loving oneself means accepting oneself with all one's flaws, only changing any little things about them for themselves and not to impress anyone or to meet anyone's expectations or standards. It's feeling comfortable and content with who and what we are. Looks, flaws and all, we accept and love all that we are as a human being. And we only change/improve the things about us in which we believe we see and believe needs improving.
It's loving ourselves unconditionally which means accepting ourself for all that we are regardless of our imperfections that make us less perfect but closer to imperfection. Because perfect is so overrated and imperfection is known to be the new red. To me I define red as self love, not just known for love itself for one another. It's a colour to me that represents love for myself and that I need to give myself that. Show that I believe in myself, that I matter, I am kind to myself in which sets the example and idea for others to treat me the same as I treat myself.
How you treat yourself is an example of how others will treat you. So think about how you want others to treat you and how you have treated yourself over the years and ending with how you want to see and treat yourself!
