Lexi POV
Groaning awake I struggled to out of Xaviers titan grip and headed toward the bathroom. Hitting the cold tiles I quickly jumped to the mat and started the shower. Glancing in the mirror I shook out the ridiculous pony tail braid thing and stripped out of the romper before jumping in the hot water. Humming softly to myself I squirted shampoo in my hands before lathering up my hair. Letting it rinse out I quickly put some conditioner in my hair and let it sit for a few minutes while I shaved my legs. Finishing I stood and rinsed it out before lathering myself up with the lily body wash. Finishing up I stood under the spray for a minute longer before gingerly stepping out. Grabbing one of the fluffy towels I toweled my hair off before wrapping the towel around my body and exiting into my room. Xavier was sitting up in my bed with his hair sticking up in every direction. Giggling I ran and jumped into the bed, wrapping him in a hug.
"Morning Lexi."
"Morning Xavier. You going to use my shower?"
"Please I have to go get my clothes though."
"I'll grab them. Give me your key." Reaching into his pocket he pulled the key out and flipped it over to the night stand. Brushing my arms off of him, he stood and strode towards the shower.
"Mind if I use your soap and stuff?" He said turning to lean against the door jam. Getting up out of the bed I walked over to my overnight bag.
"You should know better." I knew he was smirking as he walked into the bathroom and closed the door. Slipping on my Victoria Secret wolf bra and light blue underwear, I heard the shower start up. Quickly slipping on my black yoga pants and my white long sleeve tshirt, I hurried out of the room and down to Xavier's to grab his bag. Rushing in I spotted the bag by the couch. Plucking it up I rushed back to my room. Setting the bag on the bed I busied myself with finding my socks and sneakers. Hearing the shower cut off, I waited until I saw the steam billowing out of the open door before I turned and saw Xavier digging through his bag. Pulling out a pair of black sweats and a grey tshirt he sauntered back to the bathroom to slip them on. Finding my runaway sneakers I sat down to pull them on as Xavier came out of the bathroom. Watching as he slipped on his own shoes, I reached out to kick him lightly. Grabbing my foot he pulled me so I fell off the bed. Laughing I ran to tackle him until he scooped me up. Grabbing the bags, I watched him walk out the door. Putting my hands on his lower back I tried to push myself up and down but each time he'd jostle me so I'd slam into his back.
"Xavier! Come on!" I whined at him. Hearing him snort I pouted and pretended to hit his back until he flung me down in a chair at the dining room. Licking my chops I followed him over to the buffet and grabbed some pancakes, fruit and yogurt before heading to sit back down. Seeing Carmen and Dillon walk in I waved at them with a smile before I saw her frown at me. Thinking back to what happened I realized I'd never gone back to her. Watching her stalk over to me I wanted to whimper but I remained strong in her wake.
"Good morning Lexi. At least you can remember food but not your best friend!" She said exasperated and taking the seat next to me.
"Carmen! It's not like that. Xavier needed me last night. I promise I didn't mean to not come back. He was in bad shape Carmen!" I told her giving her my famous puppy dog pout.
"Well why was he in such bad shape Lexi? Hmm? Maybe I'll believe you if you tell me why." She shot out.
"Carmen I can't! That's for Xavier to tell you when he is ready." I looked at her shocked. I can't believe she thought I was lying. Studying her face, I watched as the ghost of a smile touched her lips. "You have got to be joking me! You brat! You aren't even mad at me!"
"Nah. I was surprised you stayed as long as you did. She said shrugging. "Is Xavier ok? I heard what happened."
Looking at her with wide eyes and my mouth open I was shocked. "How the hell did you hear?"
"Some blonde girl and this tall dark haired guy were arguing about him. Something about how she felt bad rejecting her mate and he threw in her face it was only because he was Alpha. I figured it had to be Xavier as there is only two other Alphas without mates and neither of them could come this year." She said with a shrug. Marveling at her ability to always figure out the situation I saw Xavier and Dillon put plates down and take their seats before digging in. Sipping my juice I listened to the conversations around me before I heard Xavier tell everyone that our pack was leaving. Scrambling to stand I grabbed my bag and walked to throw it in my jeep. Waving goodbye to everyone I set off towards the pack house.
