2 days later.

Staring at my ceiling I listened to Carmen and Dillon knocking on my door again. Hearing Carmen begging to be let in set my teeth on edge but I started humming to myself to block out the noise. Hearing her sigh and walk away I slowly sat up on my bed. Hugging my knees to my chest I took in a few deep breaths. Glancing rapidly around my room I looked for dangers lurking in the corners. Hearing footsteps in the hallway I slowly fingered the knife resting on the night stand. Once they passed my room, I let out a deep breath as they became a distant noise. Letting out a frustrated sigh I grabbed a pillow and began to pummel it in my lap before resting it over my face to scream. Pulling back I bit my lip before biting down on it as a knock sounded at the door, startling me. Feeling the blood dripping from my bite, I swore lightly before grabbing a paper towel and blotting it away. Sitting back on my bed, I grabbed the knife and waited.

"Lexi, open the door." I heard Xavier's voice sounding weary as he talked to me. Ignoring him I went back to fiddling with the knife.

"Lexi, so help me I will issue an Alpha command if you don't open this door." Glancing up at the door I burrowed deep into my covers as I heard him start swearing.

"LEXI! Open the damn door. NOW!" My wolf started to respond to the order. Trying to hold back I whimpered as struggled against my wolf. Getting up I slowly padded to the door before unlocking it. Backing up towards my bed I sank onto it when I felt my knees hit it. Gulping in deep breaths, I absently grabbed the knife and clutched it to me as the door opened and I saw Xavier peering in. Seeing me sitting on the bed I heard a small growl, causing me to jump and grab the knife harder. Shaking I watched him slowly walk towards me with his hands out in a surrender gesture. Scrambling backwards towards the covers, I dropped the knife before burrowing. Breathing erratically I listened for signs that he was moving closer. When I heard none I slowly calmed by breathing down before lifting up a corner of the comforter to look out. Seeing Xavier sitting on the floor, I sat up slowly with the sheet wrapped around me.

"What are you doing here?" I spat out at him. I could feel my anger bubbling up as I looked on coldly at Xavier sitting my floor.

"Trying to help you out Lexi." He said softly.

"Just like when you gave me to that freak? No thank you. I don't want your help." Growling a bit I turned to face the side wall quickly. Expecting to hear his retreat, I was surprised when I heard him slide closer. Feeling my breathing hitch up a notch, I glanced at him and saw he had the knife in his hand. The blood drained out of my face and I felt myself getting light headed. Backing up I fell to the floor as I scooted away from the knife. Hearing him put it down with a clatter and seeing his face in my blurred vision, I reared back before hearing his soft words. Reaching out I tried to weakly fight him off. His hands grabbed softly at my wrists as I ripped them out of his grasp, the grabbing became rough. Crying I felt him pull me to him, cuddling me to his chest.  Feeling him stand up and wrap the blanket around me I cuddled  closer to his chest before feeling light headed once again. Hearing Xavier call my name I felt myself slipping into the darkness.
