Lexi POV
Grunting I lifted the weights again, going back down I finished my sets and put the bar back on the rack, removing all the weights to their proper places. Taking the hand wipes provided I wiped down the bar before moving over to the treadmill. Popping my headphones in I set a steady pace and focused on my music. Spotting Dillon walking in I sent him a short wave before I noticed his grim expression. Stopping the treadmill I hopped off and strode over to him.
"Lexi we have a problem."
"What kind of problem?"
"The kind that involves dead wolves thrown onto our borders."
Swearing softly to myself I followed him outside and down to the pack doctor's office. Spying the white sheet I bustled past Dillon and nodded a hello at the doctor. Watching as she moved the sheet down I swore a lot louder.
"Fuck Dillon. This is really bad."
"I know!"
"Have you told Xavier yet?"
"Now why would I go and do something stupid like that? He'll go apeshit!" Dillon yelled at me.
Running my hands through my hair I observed the body. Moving the sheet down further I saw that he was wearing nothing except what looked like a pair of black jeans. Seeing something sticking out of the pocket I plucked it out.
Seeing it was a folded up sheet of paper I carefully unfolded it. Hissing in a breath, I looked up at Dillon and the doctor giving me strange glances.
"Get Xavier now. Get him down here. He needs to see this and we need a plan ready to go in exactly two hours." I spat out my demands and to my relief Dillon followed the. Giving the doctor a look she walked back into her office leaving me alone. Shaking I sank onto the floor until I heard Xavier and Dillon's voices. Springing up I mentally calmed myself until I was confident I could handle the two of them. Dillon came down the stairs first followed by Xavier.
"What the fuck is going..." Cutting off his sentence as he saw the body. Stalking towards it I watched as he breathed in a deep breath. "Fuck. That's the ass hole that was with my mate."
"Yeah. It only gets worse Xavier." Holding out the note I watched as he started to it. I knew the words as they were now etched into my memory forever.
Now that I have your attention, April.
You and that pathetic Alpha will meet me in the woods at 2 pm today.
Come alone.
Failure to follow and I'll have to kill the pretty girl he was with.
