Lexi POV
Grabbing my knives, I quickly slipped them into my boot before turning to grab my leather jacket. Slipping it over my shoulders I bounded down the stairs to the meeting room. After catching up with Xavier we agreed to meet in 20 after in the situation room while Xavier grabbed a few of our warriors. Running down I threw my wet hair into a bun before sliding to a halt in front of the door. Taking in a deep breath, I opened the door to 5 pairs of eyes turning to look at me. Glancing confused at Xavier, I rounded the table to take a seat.
"Nice of you to finally join us." He sneered out.
"You said 20 minutes, I took 15." I shot back out.
"15 too long." He growled and using his alpha tone.
"Yes Alpha?" I asked giving him a look. Seeing him scowl, I turned my attention to the map laid out in front of us and frowned.
"This isn't going to work."
"What isn't?" Xavier said with an annoyed tone.
"You putting warriors here and here." I told him pointing. "He is going to have his men surrounding in a perimeter both in and out, watching to make sure that it's just you and me." Leveling him with a stare, I watched as he studied me. "We should have them come like this." I told him drawing a path.
"You seem to know a lot about him." Xavier threw out. I watched the other wolves shift uncomfortably on their feet.
"I'd hope so since I spent 2 years as his prisoner." I threw out. Leveling him with a stare I watched him look back over the map. "Is there something you need to tell me?"
"No."
"Well you aren't acting like there's nothing."
"Just drop it Lexi. I want my mate back and you talking clearly isn't getting her there. You may have enjoyed being his "prisoner" but I'm sure she isn't." He yelled out at me.
"I'll forgive you since I know this is a stressful time but one day you are going to feel like an ass." I told him softly.
"I don't need your forgiveness. I need my mate. This never would have happened if I hadn't brought you into the pack." He spat out, now he was looking at me with his eyes venomous. Stepping back slightly to adjust my weight I watched him zero in on that movement.
"You gonna fight me Lexi? Bring it on. I'd like to dump a dead body at that psycho's doorstep like he did to mine." Hearing Dillon and Shane gasp in I slit my eyes at Xavier and then turned away. Addressing the rest of them I gave them instructions and told them to be ready in 30. Looking at Xavier I gave him a few instructions before turning to leave. Noticing a movement out of the corner of my eye I looked over to hear Dillon mumble sorry before my world went black.
