Lexi POV

Breathing hard, I tried to get up only to have my arms fail me and I went tumbling onto the mat. Grunting I rolled over and watched as the behemoth in front of me smiled and began to circle around me. Watching his movements I rolled away as he lunged at the spot I had just left. Bringing my legs around I took his feet out from under him before the adrenaline rush gave me the energy to pounce on top of him and rain my fists and forearms on his face. Feeling him go limp, I continued to hit until the guards pulled me off him. Panting, I jerked them off me and walked to the edge of the arena. Sitting on the edge, I rest my forearms on my knees and examined them, the right one had an awkward break in it while the left had a long gash down it. Sighing in frustration I glanced up at Greg lounging in his chair. Scowling, I stripped my t-shirt off. Ripping it in strips I wrapped the gash up as best I could before grabbing two sticks to splint my arm for now. Hearing Greg's chuckle deepened my scowl. Standing I met his gaze and turned back to the mat. The big guy had been cleared out, glancing at the door I saw the guards hauling him towards the doctor's room. Letting out a sigh I waited until my next opponent was called up. Seeing the wolf enter into the mat I bit back my words of protest. Crouching I waited until the wolf made their move. Watching them lunge I dodged before bringing my elbow down to rap their skull. Jumping back I made it to the other side of the mat before they were able to get up.  Jumping at me I moved to slowly and felt their teeth graze my shoulder before I tripped and fell on the floor. In an instance the wolf was on me. Holding my hands up I grabbed their throat to hold them off me. Moving my feet to kick them off, I lost my grip around their throat. Screaming out in agony as their teeth scrapped down my face, I pushed against their soft underbelly with my feet and managed to get them off before I jumped on their back and held my hands around their neck until I felt them go limp. Rolling off the wolf I heard Greg call an end for the day before the arena cleared out. Panting I rolled to get up when I felt hands grab under my arms and haul me up roughly. Seeing Greg stand in front of me, smiling I felt myself snarling.

"Had enough little April?" Staying silent I glared  at him out of the eye not covered in blood. Feeling his hand reach out to touch my face I turned to bite him. Hearing his laugh I ground my teeth together.

"All you have to do is submit April. This could be all over if you just submit."

"Never. I'd rather die." I hissed out. Watching the smile fall from his face I felt the smack. Slowly raising my eyes back to his, I watched the smile fall back into place.

"Well unfortunately for you death won't come easy or quickly. I don't plan to loose this round." Glaring at him, I watched him turn towards the door. "Take her back to the leash. No food or water tonight." Stalking towards the door I saw the same young woman meet him at the door and cling to his side as he wrapped her in his arms. Tossing a triumphant glare over her shoulder I shot her a saucy smile as the guards led me towards the leash.

Feeling the cool metal clamp over my throat I leaned back against the wall. Sighing out I slowly slid down the wall. Thinking back to the first day here I felt my hope that someone was looking for me, surface again. Squashing it down, I viciously swore at myself for being so stupid. I had been here 2 months now and nobody had bothered to try and find me yet. Sighing I thought back to Greg's offer. If I submitted and took him as a mate I would be free of all the fights and challenges for the "Luna spot". If I lost though that was a death sentence. My opponents weren't looking to just take me down. Greg had brainwashed them all to think I was some brat who couldn't accept her mate, cheated on him, tried to have him killed and left for another more powerful alpha. He was a snake in the grass and these people were buying it hook line and sinker. Sighing in defeat I looked up towards the sky and even though I knew it was hopeless, I wished someone would find me.
