Amy's Point of view:

Damn it I feel like I'm in high school all over again getting ready for this date. I have no idea what to wear or say and I got no sleep and I'm all jittery and ahhh I can't wait. I go back and forth through my closet going over the same few options but not deciding on one. 'What do you feel most cute in Amy, Wear that' I think to myself and I feel like an idiot for not thinking about this option sooner. I go to my dresser and get my black skinny jeans with the rips in the knees and slide those over my legs before going back to my closet and pick a thin and loose light pink shirt off the hanger. Looking in the mirror I know I've made the right choice. For shoes I slide on my black sandals that I wear way too often. I go over a checklist in my head of all the things I had to get done before I leave like curling my hair, makeup, bed made somewhat, and spritz succulents. Everything is done did. Before leaving I grab my light brown purse from the hook by the door and slip my phone into it. If I leave now It's a ten minute walk and I may get there before he does which could make me seem desperate but If I leave later I could show up late and seem like I don't care. Frack I don't know what to do.

When I enter Jane's I look around to see if he's even here yet. The cafe is packed with early morning breakfast eaters and the tables are so close it's hard to tell which person is at which table. As soon as I saw the red and black contrasted head sitting alone by the window I knew exactly who that was. I take a deep breath and walk over there confidently "Hey, Good morning" I smile at him as I sit down and hang my purse on the back of the chair "I hope you weren't waiting for too long" I open my menu as I make eye contact with him. "No, I've only been here for a few. No ones come by yet so you're safe" He laughs and I join him "Whats your favorite thing to get here?" He asks as he flips the very limited menu over. "Considering there may be a grand total of ten food items on the menu I tend to stick with the same thing every time" He laughs at my snarky response just as a waitress comes by to get our order. I order a coffee with a chocolate croissant while Mark orders a green smoothie and a blubbery muffin. While Mark and I wait for our breakfast the conversation never falls short. We people watch outside the window making each other laugh and eavesdrop on other people as they order too fancy of a breakfast. "Acai bowls are overrated" I whisper over the table to Mark and he laughs. "Who orders that? I hardly even know how to pronounce that!" Mark says making me laugh as our breakfast is placed in front of us on the very small wood table. "Thank you" I say making eye contact with the waitress causing her to smile at me. "Guess I'm not the only one who's day is made when you smile" Mark says kinda quietly making eye contact with me causing me to smile. "You're too sweet" I say cutting my croissant in half to eat easier. Mark picks up his muffin and takes a big bite causing crumbs to fall everywhere and attach to his stubble. "Wow this is great first date food" He widens his eyes and puts his muffin back down, Grabbing his napkin and wiping his face. "Hey so is this" I pick up my chocolate croissant and make sure to get chocolate on the sides of my mouth. I raise my arms upon a questioning manner before taking my napkin and wiping the chocolate off "See it's all good" He smiles at me and I smile back at him before continuing to eat our yummy breakfast.

After we ate Mark wanted to walk me back to my apartment in which I told him that was unnecessary considering It's only noon and he told me that its the 'gentlemanly thing to do'. The walk directly from Jane's to my building is at most a ten minute walk but Mark and I somehow made that ten minutes turn to twenty. We people watched as we walked and Mark found a caterpillar inching in the middle of the sidewalk so then he made the argument that it would die if he didn't move it and then for the rest of his life he would think of himself as a caterpillar murderer. I loved listening to Mark talk not only because of his soothing tone but because it was the perfect amount of goof and caution. We extended the walk for as long as humanly possible and stop in from of the brick beside the main glass doors. "This was really great" I smile and hug him. The hug only lasts a few seconds before he pulls away and I wonder if that was the right move. "I'm going to get cheesy again so be prepared" He says and I playfully roll my eyes and giggle "I had such a great time on this date I would love to go on many more dates and one of the easiest ways to do that is if you are my girlfriend. So, Amy will you be my girlfriend?" He asks smiling larger than I've seen him smile since we met. "I would love to" I reply and he goes in for the hug this time, wrapping his arms around my waist. I wrap my arms around his neck trying to take in as much of his aroma as I can until the next time I see him. "See you tomorrow?" He questions, His hands still lightly placed on my waist. "Office. Ten am" I disconnect from his neck and unlock the main doors "Goodbye Mark" I wave. "Goodbye Amy" He waves not leaving leaving until I'm all the way in the building.

Wow I love this chapter. If you haven't noticed already I'm not completely coping what happened between them but adding my own bits and pieces while still keeping some of the original things that happened between the two. The breakfast date was mine because I've always loved the idea of breakfast dates rather than dinner dates. I'll stop rambling now considering it's 2:25 am where I live and I have school tomorrow. Night!                                   xxParks
