Chapter Forty Four.

Amy's Point of View:

     "Eve and Tyler Scheid" I put my hands on the counter of the desk. A new bored woman from last time stands from her chair and slowly walks to the filing cabinet and grabs a file before walking back "Family" She looks between Kathryn and I as I nod my head vigorously and try to peek my head around the wall between us, Seeing whats taking so long. I made Mark drop Kathryn and I off at the front doors while him and Ethan parked the car simply because the butterflies in my stomach couldn't handle another minute in that car. "Room 3" Her eyes scan the paper and I become annoyed "Floor four" She takes her eyes off the paper and looks to me with dull emotion "Elevators around the corner" I nod and grab Kathryn's hand, Tugging her behind me. 

     Hospitals always smell the same. It smells as if you were just to walk down the hall once you would be perfectly sterilized for a good while. Walking into Eve and Tyler's hospital room was like walking into a yoga studio. All the lights are shut off and she has relaxing music playing through the speakers beside her bed. Kathryn and I quietly made our way over to the stiff bench under the window and now we wait for the boys to find their way up here. "Tyler drink please" Eve opens her eyes and looks up at Tyler pitifully. Eve texted early this morning and its late after noon now, Blaming Mark for this one considering he took his sweet time in the shower, So Eve has been in labor for a good four hours now. Tyler fills her request and sets her ice water on the tray beside her bed. "Is little bit here?" Mark barges through the door, loud voice as always, Before realizing the atmosphere of the room "Oh shit sorry"He walks quietly over to where Kathryn and I are seated and sits on the floor in front of me. Ethan tries to quietly close the door behind the two but ends up slamming it. "Ok two bulls in a china store" Tyler whispers making Eve laugh. Tyler looks up at Eve and smiles before rubbing her knee through the blankets. Eve doesn't move a lot after taking a few sips of her water, I'm surprised that not even Mark and Ethan disturbed her. The room falls quiet which is actually nice. Tyler is sitting at the end of Eves hospital bed, Allowing her to squeeze his hand or hold onto him when the pain gets too bad. She's done so well since we've gotten here though, You would think this isn't her first. "Knock knock" The wooden door pushes open and a nurse walks into the room "I'm just here to check how you're doing" She walks over to the machine beside Eves bed and presses  couple of buttons. "Quite the family you have here" The nurse looks at all of us spread across the room and stifles a laugh. "Oh you don't even know" Tyler jokes making us all laugh. "Everything looks good" The nurse says as she walks back to the door "Baby should be here in no more than a few hours" She smiles before walking out of the room, Leaving us with the happy news. 

     After some very strong pain medication, Eve said that it may be a good idea for all of us to go and get some thing from the cafeteria so we won't be starved when things really begin to pick up. "She's been laboring for seven hours now" Ethan makes a face at the words he's just said as he sits down. "What can we say" I raise my arms in the air jokingly "Us women are strong creatures" The table laughs and I lower my arms. "I defiantly wouldn't be able to" Mark says "I hope she has Eve's red hair" He smiles thinking about it. "How cute would it be if she had Tyler's curls" Kathryn covers her mouth when she talks trying to avoid spitting food. "I just can't wait to meet her" Ethan puts a corner of the energy bar into his mouth "i'm spoiling the shit of of her" He makes the table laugh. "I think we all will Ethan" Mark looks beside him before picking up the wrapper to his bar and tossing it. "I wonder how far away it is until time?" I rub my hands together excitedly. "They said not long" Kathryn smiles "I can't wait to meet their Little babe" Kathryn looks around the table smiling. 

     The atmosphere in the room has done a complete 180 from when we got here. The lights are up and Eve's dancing in her bed to Disney music while munching on ice chips. It's really amazing what some pain medicine can do. "Babe, Please be careful" Tyler sits on the edge of her bed and rubs his thumb over her leg. "I don't even feel like I'm having the baby anymore" She continues to dance in her bed "I couldn't be happier" She says smiling before leaning over to peck Tyler's lips. "Eve this sound track is out" Ethan stands at her phone beside the speakers "What would you like me to play next?" Ethan looks up at her. "Could you play the Ariel soundtrack?" Eve's voice is perky "This little bit needs all the red head vibes she can get" The room laughs and Ethan finds the Ariel soundtrack on spotify. 

     "Only immediate family please" The nurse says and we all stay where we are. "OK, Theres a waiting room out in the hall, I'll be sure to call you all back in when every things cleaned up" The nurse preps Eve for delivery. "Cleaned up?" Ethan asks "What is there going to be a food fight after she's born or something" The nurses pretend to not laugh before calling the doctor over the intercom. "Ok, Ethan go wait in the hall now please" Tyler tries to be serious but stifles a laugh. "Good luck Eve" Mark says as he walks out of the room, Closing the door behind us all. I plop myself in a little blue chair, Again stiff. The Tv in the wait room is on the news but all I can focus on right now is Eve and Tyler. I rub my hands together before Mark takes one in his "This is it" He looks at me smiling "Little babes on her way".

Please don't hate me. I didn't want to rush this chapter and put too many things in so I decided to separate it into three chapters so I can get everyones thoughts and feelings out there. The last part to Little babe arriving will be published sunday afternoon. I hope you enjoyed this read. xxParks
