Chapter Seven

Amy's Point of View:

     'Morning Gal and Dudes" I walk up the stairs to the loft area of the office and notice everyone has their headphones on. I let them work without saying anything else and go to my desk and start working. "Guys, New email from the organization" Mark turns around in his office chair to face all of us and we put our headphones down and listen "Oh hi Amy when did you get here?" Marks asks. "About an hour ago, Continue with the news I want to hear the email." Mark reads the email which was filled with how highly they thought of us for raising so much money and how grateful they are for us. We all have giant smiles on our faces and looking around at each other talking about how happy we are. 

     We've been working all day and I notice the sun going down behind the giant white curtains. I take my headphones off and lay them beside my keyboard before getting up and deciding to take a quick break.I look around to see if anyone has noticed I got up yet right as Tyler turns his head. "What are doing?" He questions taking off his headphones and sitting them on his desk which so happens to be beside mine. "Just taking a break for a few. Ill  be outside if you need me" I reply and push my chair in. Tyler nods his head and puts his headphones back on and I start walking down the steps and out to the backyard. Walking outside the air feels warm but theres a slight breeze every once in a while making it a little chilly. I sit with my back against the brick and my feet in the grass enjoying the last little bit of sunshine left while I can. I lean my head against the wall and close my eyes before hearing the door open. "Mind if I join? My brain feels like mush." I laugh and nod and Mark makes his way over to sit by me. "Who knew sitting a a computer screen all day could make you feel brain dead" He looks at me. "Could have been an engineer" I shrug my shoulders and look out across the yard. "Who told you that?" He asks curiously. "Ethan" I quickly reply and focus on the grass looking for something new. It gets quiet for a second. Well, as quiet as L.A. can be during rush hour. Mark and I focus on different things in the yard and listen to the cars before he breaks the silence. "I haven't told anyone about yesterday" He says quietly "I was going to wait until we talked about what we want to do before I told anyone" He looks to his lap as I look over at him. "Could we maybe wait before we tell the fan base?" I ask sitting so I'm now facing him "I really don't want people to know me just for being your girlfriend" A big smile appears on his face when I finish my sentence "What made you so happy?" I ask now smiling myself. "You called yourself my girlfriend" He looks at me still smiling "I like that". I take his hand in mine and leave it there "You may just be the cheesiest person I know" I laugh and he squeezes my hand. 

     Back in the office its quiet and cold but not as cold as it got outside which is why Mark and I came in. My hands shook as I try to type Marks new video title. Everyone already has all the blankets there are in the office. I rub my hands together and shiver a little before going back to finish my last project of the day before I'm free. "Amy, You cold?" Ethan asks across the room and I wonder how he even noticed. "I mean a little" I think about fibbing but my mouth has other plans. Ethan gets up from his chair and hands me his blanket with a hint of friendly smile "I'm in a giant sweater and sweats, You need it more than I do" He says as he starts walking back to his desk. "Thanks bud" I reply still trying to be quiet and not disturb the others. 

     "Guyyysss" Ethan groans spinning in his chair. We all turn and look at him funny "Lets go party" He suggests. We all look around and laugh before realizing he wasn't joking. "Ethan, Why" Tyler asks folding his arms. "It's a monday night and we've been working all day and quite frankly I'm bored out of my mind" He finishes getting up and walking around. "Really? I would have thought editing all of Marks screaming would keep you wide awake" Kathryn says making us all laugh "I'm not going out but I don't know about the rest of you. While you guys finish up this conversation I'll be home with my cat. See you guys tomorrow" She gets up and grabs her keys before walking out the door. We all say goodbye before going to our original conversation. "I mean whats the harm? We have a designated driver considering Marks body hates him and he can't drink, Tyler can loosen up a bit so he's no longer considered stone faced Tyler, Amy can have her night out in L.A., and I can think about something besides Marks screaming and what to do if the editing software crashes." I shrug my shoulders and look around the room " I'm down but I have to go home and change first" I stand and grab my keys before realizing I have to close the shit on my computer. "Sweet, I'll text Mark the directions and he'll tell you" Tyler stands up and leaves as does Tyler. "Hey do you want to meet at my house before we go and you can just give me a ride considering you're the DD?" I ask him and replies with a quick sure. "Alright lets head out" I finish closing the shit on my computer and Mark and I head out not sure what we're getting ourselves into.

     After getting home from the office it doesn't take me more than ten minutes to re curl a few pieces of hair, Touch up my makeup adding a little extra highlight, and changing my outfit completely. The outfit I choose is a black bralette and a white button up over it thats not buttoned up. For pants I wear my black skinny jeans withe the rips in the knees and black booties for shoes. Since I'm ready so early I get to watch a little TV before Mark picks me up. 

     The knock against my door pushes me back out to the real world realizing Mark has arrived. I open the door and he's in nice casual pants with a dark blue button up. It only takes his seconds before commenting on my outfit. "Damn not even to the second date yet and I've seen more of you than I thought I ever would" He laughs and I grab my phone and purse "Ready to see what were getting ourselves into?" He asks and I nod walking out, He takes my hand as we walk to his car. 

     When we arrive at the place its already packed and we're not even sure if Tyler and Ethan are here yet. "It's been a while since I've gone out like this" I admit and look to Mark. "Are you nervous?" He asks squeezing my hand. "No, I just haven't publicly drank in a while with friends and wow as I say this out loud I realize I have a very exciting life" I laugh and Mark joins. "Don't worry, I won't be drinking so and Tyler hardly drinks so you have two macho men looking after ya" Mark lifts his arms and flexes his muscles and I laugh at him "Now, shall we go in ma lady?" Mark asks and I nod getting out of the car and walking into the very busy and cramped place. It takes us a few minutes before we find Tyler and Ethan who already both have a drink in their hand. "Amy hasn't gotten a drink yet?" Tyler asks as soon as we walk up to them "I'll go get one, what do you want?" He asks. "Just order me something good" I yell over the music and people talking. As the night gets later the crowd gets larger and I start to relax after two of whatever Tyler keeps getting me. I sway to the music as the guys talk. Ethan and Tyler are already fully drunk and I'm getting there. Mark keeps a close eye on the three of us but still enjoying himself. "You ok Ames?" Tyler asks and I nod still swaying along to the loud music. Mark walks behind me and puts his hands around my waist getting weird looks from the guys. "Want another" Tyler asks already slurring his words and swaying unintentionally. I nod my head and finish the rest of what I had before putting it somewhere I can't remember, Tyler quickly comes back with fresh drinks and I down mine quickly. "Might want to slow down Amy. You'll regret it tomorrow" Mark says to me as he goes back and stands in between the guys who in conversation. "We should go home, I don't feel well" Tyler inter ups Marks and I nod my head as the room gets spinny. 

     I may be drunk but Mark getting the three of us in his car was hilarious. I'm sitting shot gun and Tyler and Ethan are in the back seat. "Ethan your going home first, Well pick your car up at the bar tomorrow morning" Mark  says as Ethan's head is out the window. I run my fingers on Marks hands before interlocking fingers with him. He smiles and I turn the music up even louder than it is before. We drop Ethan off and make sure he gets in safely before Tyler gets dropped off safely. "Would you like to sleep over?" I drunkenly ask Mark and he doesn't reply.

     Once we get back to my apartment I take my button up off and toss it on the floor before going to the the couch and fall over with a plop noise. I hear the lock on the door and assume Mark locked it. "Mark" I sit up and say. "Amy" He puts his hands on his hips and walks over to the couch sitting down. As soon as he sits I wrap my arms around him tightly squeezing him "You're the bestests boyfriend ever" I squeak and release my arms falling back over. He laughs and I sit back up scooting closer to him. "Amy you're drunk" Mark says as I wrap my arms around his neck. "Amy you're drunk" He says again as my lips now hover his and my eyes close. "I don't care" I whisper before connecting my lips with his and his lips go to my waist. I climb to his lap and he deepens he kiss as his thumbs rub my hips. "Fuck" He mumbles as I drag him down on the couch and he hovers me as I continue to kiss him. I wrap my legs around his waist and pull his closer to me. "This is such a stupid idea" He pulls away from the kiss still hovering over me. I can smell the alcohol on my breath as I breath out before reconnection our lips and his arm raising up beside my face running through my hair. 

Too soon? i'm sorry if you were expecting this to be later in the book but It just felt like a good place to put it so I went for it. Also, This did not go any further than kissing just wanted to make that clear. I again apologize for not updating yesterday but I hope these super long chapter makes up for it.
