Chapter 18

We spent the whole morning enjoying breakfast, and talking about how I have been doing over there. To be honest, I'm fine over there, its just I miss my family so much, and the cutting is not helping.

After awhile of talking, I knew it was time to go. "Well, Dani, I'm sorry to say, but its time to go babe" Demi said. I instantly took a good grip of Val and Ray's hand. "I know, but come on"

"Kiddo, listen to your sister" Evan said. I pouted and let go of their hands.

"Fine" I said and walked over to Demi. Ray ran after me holding on to my waist.

"Don't go" he said cutely. I bend down to his level and kissed his cheek.

"I'll come back soon" I opened my arms and watched him run to the them.

"Promise" He said looking up.

"Promise"

The drive to Val house was silent. She stood quiet the whole time. "Dani, walk her to the door" Demi said as she parked in front of her drive way. I nodded and exited the car.

"I'm going to miss my best friend" Valerie said. I stood in front of her and nodded in agreement.

"Me too, but I'll definitely will see you after thanksgiving" she smiled. I laughed pulling her to a hug. "Bye" I whispered. I held on to her tightly, not wanting to let go.

"Bye" she rubbed my back and pulled away. She looked at me and a tear rolled down. "See you soon" I waved, and walked over to Demi.

"You ok" I nodded and watched Val go inside. I hate that I'm not here anymore, with the only person that gets me. The only person that can get me mad one second, then happy in the next.

"Yeah, can we just go" I said looking away from her house. A tear rolled down and I wiped it before Demi can glance at me.

She sighed and drove away. I sat there not wanting to talk. I just sat there listening to Demi talk about her new album coming out soon, a book shes doing, and something about the x factor. She seems really happy about everything right that is going in her life. While my life is basically like shit.

I really didn't talk that much either when we were at the hotel or plane. When we got home, I ran in my room and packed my bags for Dallas.

Since I missed practice today and I finished packing, I decide to practice on my own. Demi and some of her friends sat up a whole batting cage and net for me to pitch. I threw my glove on and started pitching. The ball would tall back to me, so I didn't have to run for it. As I threw the ball harder then I have been, the ball rolled out of the net.

"You ok there?" I heard a voice say. I looked up to See Demi and another girl standing. The girl was about my height, long brown hair, and pretty green eyes.

"Yeah I'm fine" I said. The girl threw me the ball and smiled. "Who's this" I asked trying not to sound rude.

"Dani, this is Lauren Jauregui" I shook the girls hand and nodded. "She's in a group called fifth harmony, with four other girls. I invited them over to hang out but, since your out here by yourself I thought you need some company, and someone who knows about the sport" Demi laughed while rolling her eyes. "Have fun" she walked away, leaving Lauren and I.

"So you play" I asked her. She nodded taking off her sweater and grabbing a glove off a shelf.

"Second base, and you?" We walked over to where there was an open field.

"Pitcher" I yelled as she ran across from me. I threw the ball at her and I watched her catch it.

"Nice!" She threw the ball and it was like that for an hour. We batted for a couple minutes til we got tired. She was a good company at the time, since Valerie wasn't there. "It feels good to play again" she smiled. We threw the gloves on the shelf and walked back to the house.

"Girls? Want to eat" Demi asked as we entered the house. "And before I forget, this is Ally, Normani, Dinah and Camila. The rest of fifth harmony" I shook every girls hand.

"Well, nice to meet all of you guys, and nice playing with you Lauren" I yelled running up Demi's long stairwell and into my room.

"Dani? Aren't you going to eat" Demi yelled from downstairs.

"Umm...sure, but can I shower first" I yelled back down. She yelled an ok. I got my clothes and jumped in the shower, doing my usual routine.

A/n: sorry for the late updates. I'm planning on uploading all stories today! I know finally right. I just been doing a lot at the moment with school and stuff like graduation pictures and choir competition. Oh, and sorry if its short!
