Chapter 34

Lauren's pov-

Everyone had left, and it was just Dani and I. I stared at her for awhile before I  decided to speak. But nothing of course came out.

Dani and I Haven't really talked, and I'm really scared of losing her. I just want her to know I'm not going anywhere, I just want to stay by her side and help her through it all.

"Babe?" I whispered. She was sitting on the bed with a pillow on her laps and watching the blank television. I positioned myself so I can be faced with Her. "Please say something. Anything. I just want to hear your voice" I whispered.

She finally made direct eye contact with me. I was going crazy inside that she finally looked at me. Those honey like colored eyes were more of a dark brown today. They weren't bright as I remembered them, but I still love them.

"Can you sing to me?" Her raspy voice barley audible. It was more husky, but I liked it.

"Of course" I smiled and laid myself next to her. She positioned herself til her head met my chest, and her arm was around my torso. She removed her glasses, and Sat them on the nightstand. My arms snaked around her shoulders, as I began to find a particular song to sing.

When the song came to mind, I cleared my throat, and gave Dani a quick peck on her cheek.

"Your hand fits in mine
Like it's made just for me" I sang and laced my fingers with hers.
"But bear this in mind

And I'm joining up the dots with the freckles on your cheeks

I felt her body tense and lightly shake as I sang that verse. I lightly and softly traced my indexs finger around her stomach and gave it a small peck, doing the same to her outer thigh.
"The dimples in your back at the bottom of your spine
But I'll love them endlessly

I won't let these little things slip out of my mouth
But if I do

I'm in love with you
And all these little things

I finished the part of the song tightening my arms around Dani who pressed her nose against my neck.

"I love you" I whispered. She slowly looked at me and sat up.

"What?" She asked. I looked at her face or her eyes for any sign of discomfort, but thankfully there wasn't.

"Dani, I love you. I want you to finally know. I love you so much. Everything about you really" I looked down running my fingers through my brunette colored hair. "Say something?" She smiled. Wait? Was she smiling? I miss that beautiful smile.

"Do you really?" She asked with Her smile fading. I sighed and grabbed both her hands.

"I mean it Dani. I love you" I cupped her cheeks making her look at me. "Your beautiful inside and out. Your simply amazing. To me your perfect." Her smile returned with a hint of that spark returning in her eyes.

"I love you to, Lauren" she choked before she lightly and sweetly pressed her lips on mine. I missed this so incredibly much, that I forgot how good this felt.

"Now" I said breaking the kiss. "I knew you were self harming, but I didn't want to jump on it if I didn't know exactly. I had went to your restroom one night and found the blade on the floor. I didn't think it was yours" I said truthfully.  "Dan, I want you to be able to talk to me about anything. I'm always here for you." She smiled again lightly kissing cheek.
