Matt's POV

I had lots to do today. I had to get the cribs built. We were just going to keep the walls this off white color for a while. W figured when the kids were a little older, we would let them pick the color of their own rooms. It just made sense. For the first about 6 months the twins would be sleeping in our room though. Gabby wants to try co sleeping, but we have basinets for the babies that will be right beside our bed. 

Gabby wanted family to be there after the babies are born. The delivery would just be with us. We wanted to enjoy that moment together. I haven't talked to my mom since I told her Gabby was pregnant. She lives a few hours away now so we don't see each other much. It's actually been a few years. 

I remember when I told my mom the big news. I called her up, everything was happening so fast " mom.." She spoke " Matthew.." I laughed " your the only one that still calls me that...." She laughed too " well I gave you that name..." I was happy, we were laughing " I have news mom..." She said " what...?" I was happy about it all " Gabby and I got married..." She was shocked " really?" I laughed " yeah we really did!" She seemed happy about it all " I knew you would marry that girl... she so sweet..." I laughed " and were having a baby... actually babies?!" She was stunned " twins?!" I laughed " yup twins as in a boy and girl!" She said " how far along is Gabby?!" I smiled " 20 weeks... we just found out the gender.." She was happy " that's great... so how did you get married without inviting me...?" I laughed " well it wasn't a set in stone plan... we decided that it was right ... so we went to the courthouse in our turnout gear and we did it... we got married!" She laughed " wow that's amazing!"

I called my mom up " hey mom..." She seemed happy " hi Matthew" I said " hey mom..." She laughed " what's wrong?" I laughed " oh nothing...Gabby and I were talking and... we would really like it if you could come to the hospital when the twins are born..." She seemed happy " of course.. you know it's a 4 hour drive for me... but just call me when Gabby goes into labor and i'll try and make it..." I was happy " thanks.. it means a lot to the both of us... it's just gonna be us in the delivery room but we want family to come by once the twins are here..."
