One more shift and then it was just going to be us. Matt was going to have one more shift before the babies come. He was taking time to be with me. We were going to rest up and just enjoy things before our lives change forever. I was excited, but also so nervous for what is to come. Matt kissed me " see you later... just rest!" I kissed him " will do Lieutenant!" He laughed " oh ha!"
He got to work. Everyone was curious about me. They are our second family so it's very normal. Everyone cared so much. Hermann asked " how's Gabby doing?" I smiled " good... doctor says it could only be another week or two." Hermann laughed " get ready!" I wanted to talk to Chief. I wanted to be able to be home and just be with Gabby in this time. I knocked on the door. He looked up at me " come in!" I looked at him " hey Chief.... sorry didn't want to interrupt anything..." He looked at me " no it's ok what's happening Casey..?" Casey looked at him " well... Gabby is getting closer to the twins due date and the doctor said it could be 1.. 2 weeks so I was going to put in time...?" He looked at me " sure... be with your wife and babies... this is an exciting time!"
The next morning!
Matt got home and got in bed with me. He kissed me " were all good... i'm here for you.. just one more shift and I'm here and just here.." I smiled " i'm ready for it... for our lives to become crazy."
