2 days later...
Their rooms are nice. They are so beautiful. I'm 29 weeks pregnant and a 4 days. I've been taking it easy for the past couple weeks. The doctor was concerned that my blood pressure was higher than usual. It was a little bit elevated and we just didn't want it to get worse. I was fine I just wanted to be able to do more than just be in bed. I wanted to have more of a life I guess. I need to keep busy to stay sane.
I sat in the rocking chair in the nursery. Matt walked in " hey... your up!" I smiled " yeah... it's nice in here... both of the rooms are great! Matt kissed my head " how are you doing..?" I kissed him " i'm good... hey I have an appointment later... can you take me or do I have to call my mom..?" Matt looked at me "when?" I looked at him " 10...." Matt put his hand on my stomach " yeah.. i'll talk to chief... i'll have Hermann cover for me..." I kissed him " ok... well see you in a bit.." He kissed me " yeah you will... take it easy ok..." I smiled " yeah... sure!"
A little later....
He knocked on Chief's office door. He looked at me " come in.." He looked at him " hey Chief... can I ask you something..." He nodded " yeah... Casey what's up?" Matt looked at him " so... Gabby has an appointment at 10... Hermann can cover as acting lieutenant... we should only be an hour..." He nodded " of course... make sure Gabby's ok." Matt nodded " thanks... I appreciate that.."
We got to the doctors and we just had to wait. Matt held my hand " everything is going to be ok..." We got into the exam room. I felt like everything could be ok, but here was that slight bit of fear. The doctor did an ultrasound and examined me. I looked at him " I can't help but think that I might loose one of the babies or both..." Matt looked at me " you can't go there.." The doctor looked at me " here we go... 2 healthy strong heartbeats and your pressure has lowered... it's normal.... are you feeling movement? I nodded " yeah al the time.." He smiled " well.... that's really good... everything is good. just keep taking it easy. try to relax..." I looked at him " and pre-term labor...?" He looked at me " twin pregnancy's... it's common for the babies to come as early as 34 weeks but just take it easy and everything will be good.." I nodded " ok...."
