I panicked. This was scary was I losing my son. Was this it. The doctor worked fast " he's not crying... let's get him breathing.." Matt looked over at our boy " he'll be ok... it's ok.." All of sudden I heard the world pause. There it was. I heard screaming. I started crying " oh thank god... thank you!" Matt kissed me " he's fine... see he's good!" The doctor smiled " you want to meet your babies!?" I smiled, tears still filling up my eyes " please!"
The nurses came over carrying our baby girl and boy. They tucked them under the sheet covering me. The nurse smiled " meet your momma!" I smiled " hi... aw your so cute... it's me momma you were inside of me!" Matt smiled " aw they look like their momma..." I smiled " she has my hair and your face... and he has your hair and ears and my nose and face... we got a good mix!" Matt kissed my head " we sure did... you did amazing!"
The doctors did great. They brought us to our room. The babies had to get their test done but they were going to be by soon. Matt kissed my head " you really did great..." I kissed Matt " thanks for being strong with me..." Matt kissed me " of course... you were so strong..." I smiled " I wonder if anybody's here yet?!" Matt kissed me " I'll go see..."
He went out in the waiting room. There was a room full of firefighters. Our family was here. severide hugged me " Daddy..." Matt laughed " hi.... so we have two beautiful healthy twins..." Chief smiled " that's amazing..." Kidd looked at me " how's Gabby?" I smiled " she's great... a warrior you might say... she did it all with no drugs..." Brett smiled " she's incredible!" I smiled " well she's resting a bit.. so it will just be a while longer until she's up for visitors.." Hermann nodded " we can't wait!"
