Chapter 22: Paano daw na-diskubre si Louie? Huehue.

Let's back track what happened last February 17, 2014.

It was two weeks ago then, when I received a message saying that LIB PRESS, a sister company of Precious Pages Corporation is interested to publish Miss Astig and maybe some of my other works daw. Attached are the contact numbers and email of the Rights Coordinator of the said company.

So what do you think my reaction was? I froze. Teka lang, nagshe-share lang pala ako dito at hindi POV ni Louie to kaya hindi ko kailangan mag-English, huehue.

Ayun. I froze (<--paulit-ulit, hahaha). Seryoso. Alam niyo namang bantay ako ng lola ko nun di ba? I was at the hospital since Feb 13 and I can honestly say na wala pa talaga ako sa tamang pag-iisip. Then what I did was— while on the state of hyperventilating myself— nagPM ako sa Power Ninjas.

I don't know what to do first eh. As I said, wala pa ako sa katinuan talaga. Pagod po ako nun, gutom, and at the same time, kulang sa tulog. But the message itself was something na kahit sino na wala sa katinuan siguro ay magugulat. I was in total shock for few seconds na ilang ulit kong tinitigan ang message. Pangarap ko naman talagang maging libro ang MA, vocal ako dati pa di ba, pero I didn't know that God would grant it this soon and the feeling was a mixture of everything.

Dahil pinanganak na segurista, nagpatulong ako sa Power Ninjas na i-confirm kung legit nga yung company, hehehe. Nasa Visayas kasi ako eh. We also exchanged mails ng Rights Coordinator. They said it was okay kahit nasa Visayas ako at via email lang daw ang transaction. Parang sobrang bilis lang kasi na nagulat ako first day na minessage ako, they offer na ipa-publish nila ang MA, second day, Exclusive writer na daw ako.

Parang— HUH?! Is this really happening?! O___O'

Pero wag ka, in denial pa rin ako. Hindi naman siguro aabot ng 2 weeks bago ko sabihin sa publiko to kung hindi ko alam na sigurado. My grandmother was under observation for two weeks after nung hospitalization niya, ang lungkot lungkot ko pa nun kasi aside from worrying her health status then, I can’t update my stories, I can’t think straight, I can’t reply to the comments, I can’t thank my new followers and here comes this message saying na interesado daw silang ipublish ang mga gawa ko? At Precious Hearts kaya iyon!

 

Eto exactly ang nangyari Feb 17 nung nagmessage ang LIB.

Nagcheck ng email niya si Diwata dahil ilang araw na siyang d nakapagcheck ng mailbox at isa sa mga nabasa niya ang message na:
