Lying

You closed your book down and glanced at your phone. Seeing the screen still dark, you opened the book again and started reading the new chapter. 

You were sitting on the couch in the living room. Usually, you would go out with your friends but you find yourself too lazy to go anywhere with them.

You want to hang out with Mark and he said he will come over to your apartment yesterday but he didn't come, saying he will make it out today.  So now, he hasn't come yet. You were waiting for him or a text or even a call from him.

You took a peek at your phone but the screen is still dark. You sighed and closed your book harshly, taking your phone. You opened your screen lock and frowned when you didn't see any messages or missed calls.

You sighed again and stared at your wallpaper for a minute. It was a picture of you and Mark making weird faces together. It's so cute and it made you smile a little although you still wondering why is he still handsome whenever he tried to be ugly.

You locked your phone and laid down on the couch with a heavy sigh. You know Mark is busy but at least could he give you a text? Or did he forgot about your plans?

You sat up straight and decided to text him first.

You locked your phone after realizing he won't answer for a while. You laid down again and close your eyes. 

You really want to meet Mark because both of you rarely meet these days. Mark is always busy with rehearsals and you always busy studying. Exams are coming next week and you really stressed out. The only person who can make you happy is Mark right now.

You were really deep in thought and slightly jumped when there's a buzz from your phone. You quickly opened it and frowned when it was from Jackson.

You read in confusion but soon realized that he read your texts to Mark. You quickly type in and he quickly answered.
