I'm on my way over to my mom to drop Tyler off. It was intentional that me and Marshall should spend some time with Tyler this weekend but when I told him that he should visit grandma Saturday then he begged to spend the whole weekend there. It's fine though because then me and Marshall can spend some time together but we are gonna eat dinner together Sunday where Marshall is gonna join us. It's weird because my mom and Sam knew what happened between us and now we're gonna make it official.

I arrive to my mom's and Sam's house and Tyler runs into the living room where we find my mom and Sam and Tyler sits up in Sam's lap.

"Hi." I say to them.

"Hi." They say and my mom gets up from the couch and hugs me. We walk out to the kitchen and I know my mom wants to talk to me.

"So how's it going with you and Marshall?" She asks. She knows that we've starting spending time together again but she doesn't know that we've become a couple.

"Good." I smile. "We're kinda a couple now."

"Kinda?" My mom asks.

"We are." I confirm.

"I thought you were taking it slow." She says confused and I'm afraid that she's gonna act like bear mama now. She's so overprotected and it's embarrassing considering my age.

"Yes but we really like each other." I shrug. "And I don't think it's gonna do us any good to be in that state of not knowing again."

"No, god knows he can't control that." My mom rolls her eyes and I can't believe she just said that!

"I can't believe you mom." I hiss. If someone can get on my nerves then it's my mom!

"I'm just saying.. Jenny.. are you sure he's done with all those girls? Are you sure that he's not gonna miss that girl?" My mom asks and right now I regret that I told her about it.

"I wish I'd never told you." I say walking towards the door.

"Jenny, don't leave like that." She says following me.

"No." I say turning around and face her. "I can't believe you said that. He's my boyfriend and do you really think I would pull him into Tyler's life if I wasn't sure?"

"I'm not saying that, I just.."

"Not directly but it was what you meant." I cut her off. "I'll see you on Sunday and you better behave when I bring him." With those words I walk into the living room where Sam and Tyler immediately stares at me. "Tyler, come and say goodbye." I say as I squat down. Tyler jumps down from Sam's lap and runs over and hugs me.

"Why are you and grandma fighting?" Tyler mumbles into my shoulder.

"We're not baby." I say softly. "We're fine." I grab his face between my hands and kisses him on the forehead. "Have fun, okay?"

"Yes mommy." He says smiling.

"I love you." I say.

"I love you." He says back and I push myself up to stand now.

"Bye Sam." I say and I walk out to the front door where I see my mom.

"It's unbelievable how you're always gonna walk out in anger just because I said something that wasn't in your taste." She says and I open the door and walk outside as I don't want Tyler to think that we're fighting again. My mom follows me.

"You know what's unbelievable?" I ask as I turn around and look at her. "That I'm a grown woman and you still think you can say whatever you want to me and control me."
