I've been working at Shady Records for 3 weeks now and nothing really changed; Eminem is still very arrogant and I'm locked up in my office all day because I don't feel welcome. This wasn't what I imagined when I imagined starting a new life in Detroit. I don't get why he gives me such a hard time, maybe he just hates women? Maybe it's not just rap but he actually hates women. I walk out through the common room to get to the kitchen and I see Eminem sitting there talking to a woman, she looks at me with an wondering look which Eminem picks up.

"Emily, this is our new accountant; Jenny." He says and I can see that it annoys him that he has to introduce me. Emily gets up from her chair and sticks out her hand.

"Hi Jenny, I'm Marshall's publisher." She introduces herself.

"Hi, nice to meet you." I say politely.

"Why don't you sit down with us?" Emily asks.

"I'm sure that Jenny has other things to do." Eminem cuts her off and Emily looks at him with a strange look. See.. That's the treatment that I'm used to get from him and that's why I don't feel welcome here.

"Yes, I have some papers to look through." I say smiling acting like what he just said don't bother me.

"Okay." She says smiling. I walk out to the kitchen and grab a water before I go back to my office.

Marshall's P.O.V

"What the hell was that about?" Emily asks me when Jenny has gone back to her office.

"What?" I ask coldly even though I know exactly what she talks about. I know I'm being very hard on Jenny but I just can't stand her so I actually hope that she'll get enough someday and quit.

"Why are you being so hard on this girl?" She asks.

"I don't like her." I say.

"Why not? She seems nice." She says which makes me roll my eyes. She can't tell if she's sweet when she just met her.

"And you could tell by shaking her hand?" I ask.

"What did she do?"

"She gave me a fucking attitude when she just came her."

"Stop being so big headed." Emily laughs which makes me give her an evil glare. "You can't give her a hard time just because she gave you an attitude."

"I don't like her, that's all." I say.

"Because she doesn't lay down and worship your feet?" Emily asks. I like Emily but she can be a fucking pain in the ass.

"You're about to get a foot up in your ass if you don't cut that shit off." I say.

"Kinky." She giggles.

"You're fucking pain in the ass, you know that right?" I ask.

"Yeah but you like me anyways." She says and I don't say anything which makes her smack my chest. "Marshall, I know you care about me." Emily knows I'm no good with feelings but this girl ain't shy man, she pushes me to I tell her.

"I do but you're still fucking annoying." I say. Emily has been by my side for a lot of years and she's become like family to me.

"You only think I'm annoying because I'm right." Emily says.

"Right about what?" I chuckle.
