"Holly is on her way." Marshall says from the door. Skylar Grey is gonna work here this week and they are gonna work on her album.

"Good." I say smiling. Marshall has been a little distance lately. I don't know what's going on or what bothers him but he's definitely fighting some demons right now.

"Do you wanna hang out in the studio with us today?" Marshall asks. It's so confusing because now he's seeking contact again. It's so weird because he hasn't even texted me the past few days, almost a week.

"Sure." I say and he just nods and walk back to the studio with a stoned face.

I finish my papers before I walk out of my office where I immediately see Holly walking towards the studio dressed in her baggy jeans, a short tight tank top, her newest Nike air sneakers and a cap. I like how different she is, how she's so layback and doesn't care what people think about her.

"Hi Holly." I say which makes her turn her head and look at me.

"Hi Jenny." She says smiling.

"How are you?" I ask and walk over to her hugging her.

"Really good." She says. "And you?"

"Good." I say and we walk into the studio where we're met by the sound of a pretty good beat like always. Nickle, Marshall and Denaun are just sitting and talking.

"Yo." They all say when they see me and Holly walk in. Marshall gets up from his chair and hug Holly.

"Are you good?" He asks.

"Yes." She says. "Are you?"

"I'm good." He says and he sits down. Me and Marshall's eyes meet and Marshall smiles, a smile that I haven't seen in a couple of days. Maybe Holly's company is what he needed? Or maybe it's just the vibe here today?

"Sit your asses down." Nickle says and so we do.

Her and Marshall begin to talk about ideas for her album and what direction Holly wants to go. I always think it is so amazing to witness an album in making and how they build it up.
I think it's crazy that Marshall can concentrate on making other's albums when he's also planing on releasing an album in 2013.
Holly begins to tell him the things she has been working on lately, showing him some lyrics and plays a few things on the piano. Holly is a really good artist who's very independent. Marshall begins to mix some beats with her where she of course plays the piano so they can mix it together in the end.
Marshall's mood is totally changed and it's good to see him happy and smiling. I'm just sad that I haven't achieved to make him in a good mood lately.

"Jen, get over here." Marshall suddenly says sitting with his back against me as he sits in front of the mixing console. I walk over and sit down on the other chair in front of the mixing console. "Just do as I say."

He begins to tell me what buttons to push or what buttons to adjust. I don't know what these buttons do but I just follow his instructions. It's fun helping him out even though that I have no idea what I am doing. I watch him and his work, I find it impressive when he works his magic on music.
Eventually the beat becomes more fluent and it sounds amazing. Marshall is in deep concentration moving his head to the beat as he pushes some buttons. I sit like some creep watching him but I just find it so fascinating. Now and then he notices and he just smiles to me, he can probably feel my stare all the time. I look over at Holly shortly, she's writing lyrics.

"Yo, maybe we should grab some lunch soon." Nickle suddenly says. I look at the clock, it's 3:09 so maybe it's time for lunch.

"Yeah, I just gotta finish the last details on the beat. You guys can just go ahead and find out what you wanna eat." Marshall says.
