I ran down the corridor of Watchpoint: Gibraltar. My vision was blurred with tears, as I raced toward my destination. Earlier, Lena has barged into my room screaming. She claimed Commander Reyes and Commander Morrison had gotten into a...scuffle.

As I raced toward the training hall, my heart sank. Dust was scattered everywhere, and I could still hear the screams and shouts of the two officers. Gunshots rang out, echoing off the walls and sending chills down my spine.

"Gabriel!" I cried out, my pace slowing down as I tried to gasp for air. "Jack...!"

I froze, my whole body stiffening. Gabriel and Jack both had their guns aimed at each other, blood dripping from various wounds that littered their bodies.

"Stop...!" I shouted, "Y-you guys...you guys shouldn't be fighting against-"

"Ah, (Y/N)!" Gabriel chuckled, "Just in time..."

"Join me (Y/N)," Jack growled. "This bastard must be punished..."

I clasped my hands together, "No...it doesn't have to be like this..." The tears started to slide down my cheeks, "Gabriel...Jack...I...please!"

"Enough!" Gabriel snarled as another gunshot fired.

I ran forward, inaudible cries escaping my lips. I suddenly gasped, falling backwards and hitting the ground as Jack shoved me aside. Hurrying to my hands and knees, I gritted my teeth. Reyes and Morrison had charged at each other.

Then it happened...it was as if all time had stopped. Both Gabriel and Jack seemed to be slowing down, however Gabriel seemed to be taking the brunt of the damage. My breath got hitched in my throat, and then all I could hear was the loud bang of an assault rifle.

"No...!!" I screamed, so loud it felt as if a fire was burning inside of my lungs.

Gabriel stopped moving. He slowly turned his towards me, his hazel eyes locking with mine. "G-gabriel...?" I croaked, reaching my hand out timidly. "A-are you...okay?"

No answer. Then I saw it, a red stain was slowly spreading across his chest. He suddenly fell backwards, his body hitting the ground with a sickening thud. His shotguns fell with a clang as they hit the ground with him.

"No..." I whispered, "GABRIEL....!"

I raced towards him, Commander Morrison just standing by as he watched quietly. I collapsed at Gabe's side, my hand clutching his tightly. He turned his head towards me, his lips parted as if to speak...but no words came out.

"G-Gabe...?" I whispered softly, "Come on, speak to me..."

The Blackwatch commander heaved a heavy sigh, his breathing becoming erratic as he struggled to breath.

"Don't go..." I whimpered, holding his hand up to my face. It was so cold, and the color was draining from his face.

"(Y-Y/N)," he rasped. "It was...an h-honor, t-to fight...beside you."

A pool of blood began to form beneath him, and his eyes slowly closed. He was gone...I just knew it.

"(Y/N), you need to step-"

"I hate you..." I growled, tears still staining my face. "You...you killed him..."

"(Y/N), I didn't have a-"

"Shut up!" I screamed as loudly as I could. It felt like fire was burning inside my lungs. "I hate you! You didn't even try, to listen to me!"
