Jupiter's Heart (ON HOLD)

Chapter 21

*Jupiter's POV

I check the time it's already 11:23 in the evening and I am still wide awake because I can't sleep! Not because I am scared but because of Heart who keeps on moving and twisting her body!

"Ano ba Heart! Kanina ka pa gumagalaw hindi ako makatulog!"

Pabulong na sigaw ko sa kanya. One thing I hate is sharing bed with someone! She's invading my private space. Tumigil sya saglit sa paggalaw, I can't see her face because it's already dark inside our room. Malakas padin ang ulan and it's getting really cold not to mention we are sharing in one blanket.

"Jupiter."

"O?"

"Kantahan mo'ko."

What the f?
Napatingin ako sa kanya, at kahit na hindi ko sya nakikita dahil sa sobrang dilim I know she's looking at me too.

"Why the heck would I do that?"

Naiinis na sagot ko sa kanya. She let out a sigh as she stamp her feet.

"Hindi ako makatulog."

Obvious naman na hindi sya makatulog dahil kanina pa sya galaw nga galaw!

"O so kung hindi ka makatulog pakakantahin mo'ko? Patugtugin mo na lang yang phone mo."

"Lowbat na ako."

"Eh sino kasing maysabi na maglaro ka nang maglaro sa phone mo hanggang sa malowbat ha?"

Natahimik sya saglit tapos naramdaman ko yung pagupo nya.

"Yung phone mo na lang, pahiram ako."

She tap my legs and I immediately flick her hand away.

"Nahulog sa ilog kanina dahil sayo. Why don't you lay down and start counting sheep."

Nahiga sya ulit at mas lalo syang naging malikot! Bigla syang humarap sa akin and I can tell she's so close to me right now.

"Play with my hair."

Nagtataka ako sa sinabi nya.

"Why would I do that?"

"Because I can't sleep and I'll just keep on moving if you won't do it. Ikaw bahala, gagalaw ako ng gagalaw hindi ka din makakatulog."

Aish! Naihilamos ko na lang yung kamay ko sa mukha ko sa sobrang inis.

"Fine! I'll do it but don't you dare move again."

Naramdaman kong mas lumapit sya sakin to the point that I can hear her breathe. With my right arm underneath my head, I gently raise my left hand and touch her hair. I run my fingers freely on her hair and I swear I find this so awkward. I can smell the faint scent of her perfume. She smells like watermelon with a mixture of baby powder. After a few minutes nangangalay na yung kamay ko so I rest it on top of her shoulder, I know she's still awake but already sleepy. I brush her hair with my hand until I myself fell asleep.

*Heart's POV

I woke up with the sound of the rooster crowing outside. I inhaled deeply the cold morning air as my eyes fluttered open and the first thing I see is Jupiter's face sleeping like a baby.
