Jupiter's Heart (ON HOLD)

Chapter 26

*Jupiter's POV

I was sitting on the couch while watching rain drops slide off my window pane. It's raining hard outside, and since my room is in the third floor I can clearly see the city lights. I can hear the clock ticking and it's already 6:45 in the evening, Heart's not yet back.

I heard the door clicking open and I smiled as soon as I saw Heart enter my room with a bag of fried chicken, box of pizza, and two cans of cold soda in her hand.

"Sorry natagalan ako, ang dami kasing umuorder ng fried chicken ngayon."

She said as she put the food on the table in front of me.

"It's fine. Thank you for the food by the way."

She went inside the bathroom for a moment to wash her hand and immediately went back and sit beside me as she open the pack of warm and mouthwatering food in front of us.
She take a big bite on her pizza as she put her feet on top of the couch comfortably for an indian sit. Hindi ko namalayan that I was staring at her until she look at me and let out a chuckle.

"Why are you staring at me that way?"

I shake my head as I get one piece of fried chicken wings.

"I just find it amusing that a doctor is not that conscious with what she eats."

She laugh and take another bite, then we were both quiet again. Nagulat pa ako nung bigla niyang  pinalo yung paa nya.

"Tama! May tanong pala ako sa'yo, sa dinami daming condo bakit sa love sky condominium pa?"

I scratch my chin as I try to ask myself why.

"Ah kasi maganda? It's one of the famous condominium buildings here in our place. Bakit mo naitanong?"

"Wala lang, si Jerome kasi may-ari ng building na yun."

Nagulat ako pero hindi ko pinahalata, I casually nod my head to say that it's no big deal. Napatingin ako sa kanya at napansin ko ulit yung singsing na itinuro dati nung EX nya.

"What's that ring?"

She look at her hand while chewing.

"Ba't mo natanong?"

I shrug my shoulders as I bite the fried chicken in my hand.

"Nothing, just curious."

I heard her chuckle as she put the slice of pizza down and open a can of soda and handed it to me. I gulp  the cold soda down as I look at her waiting for an answer.

"It's a chastity ring."

Bigla akong nabulunan sa sinabi nya.
I stared at her with disbelief,  I open my mouth to talk but then end up closing it again because I can't find the right words to say. Tinawanan nya ako habang binubuksan ang soda nya.

"I know people call us the millennials but I'm an old soul."

She said as she wink at me before drinking her soda. My twin Venus also has one, a chastity ring is like a seal of promise to stay virgin untill marriage. Hanggat hindi napapalitan ng wedding ring ang chastity ring nila they will remain virgin.

She had another bite from her pizza as she look at me with a smile.

"Alam mo Jupiter alam ko yang mga titig na ganyan eh. Are you admiring me? Hahaha!"
