Hyungwon couldn't sleep that night.

Hoseok had left him on read and he probably deserved that since Hyungwon literally threw Hoseok out of his house and wasn't brave enough to explain why.

All night he took glimpses at his phone, but no new messages came in. Hyungwon's heart got heavy. Did Hoseok hate him now? Did he find him annoying?

Those thoughts clouded his mind as he stepped out of his house the next day.

"Hyungwon!"

To his surprise he found a smiling Hoseok leaning on the front gate, looking as handsome as ever with his new uniform.

"Hoseok", he mumbled, feeling his ears getting red already, "w-what are you doing here?"

"I'm making sure that you can't run away from me again", he still grinned.

They began walking side by side, not talking but not in an awkward way. A comfortable silence surrounded them, only the usual sounds of cars in the distance and birds reaching them. Hyungwon's nervousness lessened and he couldn't help but smile.

As soon as Hoseok noticed the smile on Hyungwon's face his heart skipped a beat. He loved to make the boy smile.

Their chat yesterday had made Hoseok suspicious. What was going on with Hyungwon and his parents? And why did he behave so strangely in school?

Hoseok felt sorry. He was so busy with his own problems ever since he met the younger that he never noticed how he seemed to have his own bunch of problems as well. The kid never told him why he was seeing Doctor Park.

Hyungwon had been there for him and now he wanted to return the favor.

They walked in silence for a few minutes until a shout came from the opposite street.

"Hoseok-yah!"

The two boys stopped and looked over to Kihyun, who came running with his books clutched to his chest.

"Yah! Why did you ditch me this morning?", he asked as soon as he reached them, taking deep breaths from running.

"Good morning Hyungwon-ssi", he greeted the younger with a smile before returning to glare at Hoseok.

"Oh, c'mon you can't be serious", Hoseok grinned, placing an arm around his best friends shoulders.

The three continued their way too school, enjoying each other's company.

"Wonho! Finally!"

Hoseok smiled one last time at Hyungwon before he took his seat beside Minhyuk.

The other boy had a bunch of paper balls on his desk, covering all his books and notes. Well, Hoseok believed that half of the little balls were actually made out of them.

"You need to help me!", Minhyuk whisper yelled, pointing at a boy a few rows in front of them.

Hoseok looked over to him. It took him a second before he recognized his face.

"Isn't that Lee Hongbin?", Hoseok asked amused.

"It is", Minhyuk muttered, throwing daggers at the boy with his eyes.

"He got very handsome since I last saw him", Hoseok stated, tilting his head.

"Says the one who isn't gay", he imitated Hoseok's voice at the end of his sentence, earning a glare from the other.

"What did Hongbin do to you? Did he beat you at Overwatch?", Hoseok chuckled but stopped as he saw Minhyuk's red face.

"No way."

"He's a freaking ace and won't stop bragging about it", Minhyuk stated through gritted teeth and Hoseok couldn't help but laugh.

They continued chatting about Hongbin's Overwatch talent until their teacher walked into the room.

"Lee Minhyuk", she pointed at the paper balls on his desk, "throw those away and don't even think about using them on Hongbin again."
