Chapter 8- Some Truth

Jason's P.O.V-

I don't get that girl, and it honestly drives me nuts.

Why do I feel such a pull to her all of a sudden?

Well I used to have a crush on her before she became the weirdo. I don't understand though. She was just about the nicest girl that I ever met, then she was gone for two weeks and when she came back she didn't talk to anyone.

That was like 6 or 7 years ago but it still is a mystery yet to solve.

I got a call from Garret about 10 past noon and he said to drive to the hospital now and that Winter fainted. I was really surprised and I wanted him to tell me everything but that would have to wait until I got to the hospital.

When I got there Garret was holding her walking towards the hospital and Maria got out of the car.

I ran over to Maria and she explained everything. Once we got to the door of the hospital Winter started to scream.

Winters P.O.V-

I woke up in someone's arms, I couldn't really tell though because everything was a blur. Then I saw a hospital in front of me. No, omg no. They can't take me in there! If the doctors knew then my mom will get sent to jail and she'll hate me forever.

Winter: "Noooooo!! No!!" I started to scream and kick my leg that wasn't hurt cuz the one that hurt was mostly numb. Then the person holding me, Garret which I could tell now stopped.
I started to punch his chest to let me go and Maria came up to me.

Maria: "Shhh. Winter it's me Maria, we're just taking you to the doctors. It will be fine." But I didn't listen to her and kept punching him which didn't really do anything but he didn't continue walking which is good.

Winter: "Take Me Back Home!!" I got out of his hold on me and started running. Then someone grabbed me and I started to black out again. I heard someone's voice but I couldn't tell who.

Jason: "Hey Winter! Please stay awake. Winter! Stay awake!" And then sleep overcame me.

Jason's P.O.V-

I tried to make her stay awake but failed. Garret and Maria came rushing over and I picked her up.

Garret: "Should we take her to the hospital?"

Maria and Jason: "Of Course!"

Garret: "Well gosh sorry, it's just she really didn't want us to take her to that hospital and my moms a doctor so maybe we could just take her to my house and my mom could check her out." I thought about that for a minute.

Maria: "No, we're going to that hospital now! Plus it's right in front of us."

Jason: "Nah, I think we should go to Garrets mom cuz I think Winter would like that better." Maria gives me a mad glare but walks to Garrets car anyway.
I put Winter in Garrets car and we drive off to his house.

Once we get there I get Winter and go inside.

Jason: "Damn she's as light as a feather!"

Garret: "I know right man! And she's like what, 5'6?"

I bet it's super unhealthy to be this light so I'm going to ask his mom about it. Garrets mom is named Suzie and she was pleased to help. She's such a nice mom and when I was little I kinda looked at her like my mom even though she wasn't my mom. I was adopted and she was my foster mom for awhile so I kinda consider Garret as my brother. But my adopted parents are wonderful people too, don't get me wrong it's just my foster parents really helped me out when I thought I would never be adopted so they hold a special place in my heart.

Me, Garret and Maria sat and played cards until Garrets mom came back in.

Suzie: "Garret your friend is not in a very good condition. She's to skinny and is very malnourished. It looks to me like she hasn't ate much for at least a year and a half. Is this Ms.Anderson's daughter?" We all nod.

Suzie walks back into the room Winter is and then comes out.

Suzie: "I think she has anorexia." And then she looks down.

Suzie: "She also has 3 belt marks."

Jason: "What?!" Everyone looks at Suzie surprised.

Garret: "Wait mom, belt marks? As in her mom probably beat her with a belt?" Suzie nods and then a tear slides down her face.

Garret: "Mom are you okay?!" We all rush to her.

Maria: "What is it Suzie?" She whipped the tear off and starts to explain.

Suzie: "I once saw her slap her daughter but I had no idea it would go this far, I-I had no idea." We all hug her and comfort her. She continues, "Well I'm working a night shift and I need to go. Make sure she eats dinner when she wakes up. She has to eat understand?"

Garret: "Yes mom, you wouldn't mind if they stayed over tonight right?"

Suzie: "They would have to take the couch since Winter is in the guest-room but sure, I don't mind." Then she leaves.

We all walk in to Winters room and just stand there talking quietly.

Jason: "Man was I a jerk. How could she deal with her mom and us bullying her?"

Garret: "I have no idea."

Maria: "Why do you guys do that?" I turn to look and her and then look down sighing.

Jason: "I don't know, maybe to let out some steam. My excuses are terrible okay."

Maria: "Yeah they are." I roll my eyes at that.

Garret: "I wonder if it started seven years ago."

Maria: "What?"

Garret: "You know, when she didn't come to school for 2 weeks and then never talked to anyone again. I'm guessing that's when her mom started doing this." Maria looks down with a sad expression and Garret does the same.

We walk to the living room and watch some tv, eventually falling asleep.

***Hey so this chapter came out a day before I said it would so Yay! But the next one I don't know if it will come out today as well or tomorrow.
