Insecurities, and then the bad boy

Chapter 29 - Help

Winter's P.O.V-

I wake up at 9 and put on a tank top with shorts. I put my hair in a high ponytail and go downstairs. I can't believe I'm going to prom with someone that I love so much, and of course my friends are going! It's tomorrow so I need to find a dress today.

Once I eat a bagel me and Sophia (she's paying for my dress and want to help me find a dress) go outside to see Maria already here. We get into her car and drive off to the mall. Once we get there we park and go to a store called bel vestito which means beautiful dress in Italian. We walk into the store, it's a beautiful store. With marble white tiles lining the floor, matching white changing rooms and white walls with pink and blue polkadots. There are dozens and dozens of racks. Each rack with about 20 dresses on it each. Sophia motions us towards the cashier and we follow.

Sophia: "Carol! It's so nice to see you again!" A lady in her mid 40's looks up and smiles at Sophia.

Carol: "Ah Sophia it's nice to see you! What shall I get for these fine ladies? Are you getting anything?"

Sophia: "No just them, the high school finished the gym so now they can have their prom. It was ridiculous, they should have just done it at another place." Carol nods and takes us towards the changing rooms.

Carol: "So darlings what color or colors do you want your dress to be?"

Maria: "I want mine to either be red or an ombré dress!" Maria says excitedly.

Carol: "And you darling?"

Winter: "A blue dress." She nods and walks away. A few minutes later she appears with 3 dresses for each of us to try on. We tried them on and surprisingly Maria liked the first one so she got that. I on the other hand looked through tons but after an hour I found one, and might I say I looked good. Yup, my self-confidence is better now.

Later Jason begged me to put on the dress so he could see it but I said no and he'll have to wait.

Next day, Prom, time: 4:30 pm-

Maria came over with her dress and makeup kit so we can get ready.

Maria: "Okay, the guys are taking us at 5:30 which gives us only an hour! Thank goodness we already did our hair." I giggle and we do each other's makeup. My hair is in a side wave and I don't have a lot of makeup on. Maria has her hair in a side braid and she has a smoky eye on each eye and red lipstick. After our makeup we put on our dresses and once we're done it's 5:28, perfect. We take a selfie and go downstairs.

I see Jason, Garret, and Sophia standing their talking. Lilly is by Sophia side not talking. Once they hear us they turn around.

Jason's P.O.V-

I see Winter come downstairs and wow. I can't control myself forgetting my mom and little sister are in the room when I say, "Holy sh*t! Your gorgeous Winter."

Sophia: "Jason! Language! But you two do look Extrêmement magnifique!" (Extremely gorgeous) I blush and see Garret just staring at Maria with wide eyes.

Garret: "Uhh..." Maria rolls her eyes and walks up to him.

Maria: "Its your turn to complement me doofus." She says with crossed arms. Everyone laughs and Garret blushes a deep shade of red.

Garret: "I-I, uh... wow."

Maria: "Well thanks I guess. I don't really know what that means but okay, let's go this boy is confusing me." We all laugh again and as Maria starts to leave Garret grabs her arm wraps her into his arms and kisses her. All within 5 seconds.

Sophia: "Aw!"

Lilly: "Ew."

Jason: "My turn?" Jason looks at me and I laugh. I walk over and kiss him. We see a flash of light and look over to see that Lilly took a picture of us kissing.

Lilly: "I'm making a scrapbook of you two." We give her a puzzled look and then us four leave. We take two cars incase one or two of us wants to leave early or something.

Once we get to our school we park and walk in together. Tons of girls are looking at Jason and I. Most admiring us, probably because he's the "bad boy". Well I guess I'm the girl that changed the bad boy. We dance most of the night and towards the end Jason leaves to talk to some of his friends.

Jason: "I'll be back in like 10 minutes okay?"

Winter: "Okay!" I say trying to be louder than the music.

I walk to get a drink of water when someone taps my shoulder. I look around and see Tod. He's considered the schools "nerd" but I don't really want to put labels on him, plus he was the only person who would actually talk to me when I was being bullied. Sometimes we would go to the library and study. I smile and he smiles back.

Winter: "Hi Tod! How are you? Did you come with anyone tonight?"

Tod: "I came with some friends, I was going to ask a really nice girl that I like but then I heard she got asked out."

Winter: "Oh, I'm sorry. But hey coming with friends is fun to right?"

Tod: "Yeah. Do you want to dance?"

Jason: "No, sorry." I look over to see Jason walking to my side. He wraps his arm around my waist protectively.

Tod: "Oh, sorry." Before he turns to leave I could have swore Tod gave Jason an evil eye. I look up at Jason with a confused expression.

Jason: "Your here with me snowflake." I giggle and we get something to drink. After about 20 minutes we were about to leave but Jason needed to go pee. "Don't move from this spot okay? I'll be right back, I need to piss." I nod and take out my phone. I text Maria we're leaving. She said she and Garret are saying goodbye to some people and then leaving too. There's only 30 more minutes left anyway. I feel a shock as I put my phone in my pocket. I turn around but before I can see where the shock came from I faint.

I wake up in a strange basement. I'm lying on the hard floor except I have a pillow. What kind of sicko would kidnap me?! I hear footsteps and turn around. I don't see the person but I sit-up. It could only be one person I think to myself.

Winter: "What do you want Mason?!" I shout and the person laughs.

***Ooooooh and just when things started to calm down for them! I know it's kind of cliché that they got back together but hey, it's all good. By the way I'm thinking about 5 or 6 more chapters so yeah...
