Chapter 20- Don't let me Down

Maria walks over and opens the door. I can't see who is behind the door but I have a pretty good idea.

Maria: "Hey, she's right here. Have fun!" Maria waves me over and I see the tall handsome figure of Jason. I look at him in the eyes and he looks back.

Jason: "Uh... hi. Wow, you look good." He winks but I can tell he's nervous.

Winter: "Thanks you to." And then I bit the bottom of my lip because of my nervousness. We stand there for a second and then I hear the twins start to sing.

Twins: "Jason and Winter sitting in a tree! K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" They start giggling and Jason grabs my arm and starts walking towards the car.
He opens the door for me and I mouth a quick 'thank you' to Maria. She smiles and closes the door as I get in the car. He runs over to his side and starts driving. I decide to break the silence.

Winter: "Is this Lilly's first sleepover or not?"

Jason: "No, this is like her 10th or something. Did your mom ever let you have sleepovers?"

Winter: "No. But before she was like that I had one sleepover."

Jason: "When did she turn into a Monster?"

Winter: "She's not a monster. She just didn't love me." It breaks my heart to say that but it's true.

Jason: "Oh. I'm sorry."

Winter: "It's alright, an accident happened when I was 10 and she was never the same."

Jason: "What happened?" Ugh he's so nosy sometimes.

Winter: "I don't like to talk about it." He doesn't reply because we pull up to a restaurant. He opens the car door and I get out. "Thank you, I don't have any money, I won't get any until I go get the rest of my stuff from my old house."

Jason: "I know I'm paying."

Winter: "Thanks, I promise I'll pay you back."

Jason: "No need to my treat."

Winter: "Oh by the way, here." I hand him the left over cash from the $400 he gave me. "There is $157.75 left from this morning." He nods and puts it in his pocket.

We enter and Jason says his name and a server leads us to a table.

Winter: "Reservation?"

Jason: "Yeah."

Winter: "Oh classy." He chuckles as I giggle a little. I really want to be back to my normal self when I laughed and smiled all the time and it's long overdue to be a little bit happy.

We chat and eat for 2 1/2 hours before leaving. I had a good time and it was really fun listening to all his stories of him and his friends getting in trouble. When we get home we put our pjs on and watch a movie on the couch. I've never seen this movie but it looks good. Jason said he loves this movie so that's why I wanted to watch it, it's called Pitch Perfect. I was laughing and crying a bit during the whole thing it was a good movie. After it was done he walked me to my room.

Jason: "Ya'know there's a second one." I gasp in surprise.

Winter: "Can we watch it tomorrow before you pick up Lilly?!"

Jason: "Of course."

Winter: "Yay!" He was about to leave when I grab his right wrist. "Don't let me down, I've had to many heartbreaks." He nods and I retire to my bed falling asleep very quickly.

***Okay so I know this Chapter is very short but I kind of wanted to end it on a happy note (wink wink) not foreshadowing or anything (wink wink) so the next chapter will be way longer! I promise. Please Vote and comment!
