Chapter 15- Fragile

Jason's P.O.V-

I was about to call my buddies at school telling them not touch or say anything to Winter but before I could I got a call from Maria.

Jason: "Hello? Aren't you supposed to be in class?"

Maria: "Is she with you!?"

Jason: "Who?"

Maria: "WINTER!" My voice went a little horse after she said that.

Jason: "She's supposed to be at school, she isn't there?"

Maria: "No! Why would I be calling you and asking where she is if I knew where she was?!?!" Maria seemed really ticked off but before I could answer mom called me.

Jason: "My moms calling me, maybe Winter just wasn't feeling well and went back home."

Maria: "Wait Jas-" But I answered moms call before she got to say whatever she wanted to.

Jason: "Hey mom-"

Sophia: "JASON! Get home now!"

Jason: "What is it mom? What's wrong?" In the background I could hear someone knocking on a door. "Is someone knocking at our door?"

Sophia: "No I'm knocking on Winters door but she won't let me in."

Jason: "What?! Tell me what happened I'm a minute away."

Sophia: "She ran threw the kitchen crying and muttering a name then took a kitchen knife and ran to her room. She locked the door and won't let me in but I can hear her crying." My mom sounds panicked and I feel a bad for her.

I quickly get out of my car and run up the stairs. I turn to my mom and she's standing at the door pacing.

Sophia: "Oh thank goodness! Knock the door down!" So I did and I looked around and realized she was in her bathroom.

I knocked on her door but she didn't open it. I yell to her to open it but she doesn't so I kick the door open. I look at her and I'm shocked. Her leggings are barely even leggings anymore, there torn and tattered. She has a deep cut in her left leg and her arms are covered with marks from the knife beside her. I kneel down to her and she takes a pill.

Jason: "What did you do to yourself?!" I see her trying to put another pill in her mouth but I take it away and she starts screaming and yelling at me to give it back but there's no way so I put it deep into my pocket.

She continues yelling at me and trying to get it but I make sure she can't get it.
I ask her a few times how many pills she had and she finally answers 3. She starts getting weaker and can't try to fight me anymore so I carry her in my arms. I see that mom already called an ambulance so I go into the ambulance with Winter. I tell her to keep her eyes open but she didn't, she fell asleep really quick.

It's been 6 days. I've been in this hospital every day. I want to show her I can be a good guy. When she said she didn't know if she could trust me yet that kinda hurt. No it didn't 'kinda', it hurt a lot. She was in a short coma for 5 days and she just woke up today but the doctor and nurse rushed me out before I could see her.

My mom came and Maria came to the hospital once I shot them a text she woke up. It was Saturday and neither of them were doing anything so they came right away. Once they got there we had to wait another 45 minutes. Once the doctor came out she walked up to us.

Doctor: "Just so you know, Ms.Anderson won't be her usual self right now. We gave her some meds and she's well. Her condition is Depression, so we gave her meds for those."
