Chapter 26- What happened?

Winter's P.O.V-

I wake up and look around. I'm in a hospital, where's my mom and dad? I'm about to get up and then a doctor walks in.

Doctor: "Hello Winter, are you alright? Do you remember what happened?" What happened?

Winter: "Where are my parents?"

Doctor: "There here, do you want me to let them in?" I nod and the doctor walks out. I see two people that I don't know walk on.

Women: "Oh my god Winter! I'm so glad your awake! It's only been 3 hours but those 3 hours where killing me!" The women hugs me and I push her away. "Are you alright sweetie?"

Winter: "Who are you and how do you know my name? I want my parents and my brother!" They look at each other with unease and confusion.

Man: "We'll be right back." They walk out and I hear them ask for the doctor before the door closes. That was weird. I wonder who they were.

I brush it off and get out of my bed. Pain pierces through my head but I ignore it. I want my parents, not the doctors and not those weird people. A teenage boy comes in.

Teen boy: "Oh my god Winter! Your awake!" He hugs me and I pull away.

Winter: "Don't touch me! I don't even know you!" I scream and he backs away with confusion and sadness in his eyes.

Winter: "You know what, you look like an older version of Jason. He's in my class and he's cute but annoying. Are you his older brother? You better not tell him!" I say and he just stands there with his dumb expression on his face.
"What? Do you know where my parents are? And I don't know where my brother is either." He runs out of the room. Gosh why are people so confusing, I just want to see my family. The doctor and the three people come in.

Doctor: "Honey, why don't you sit down." I go and sit on the hospital bed. I look over at the mirror and my mouth drops.

Winter: "I look old!" I point to the mirror. I'm 8 but my body looks like 17.

Doctor: "Listen Winter, your having retrograde amnesia. That means you can't remember anything from a certain point in life, reason is because you got hit by a car and got a concussion. These are your family now, your going home in an hour once we get you your medicine for your head." I start to cry.

Winter: "I want my real family!" I scream at them even though the doctor already left. The teen boy sighs and walks out. The woman and man walk over to me and hug me. I don't know what to do so I hug them back crying.

After 30 minutes of paperwork that the woman and man sighed and 30 minutes of boring waiting we left. They made me sit next to the boy in the car but he didn't talk. He just sat there staring at the window looking sad.

When the car stops the woman leads me out and into a house.

Woman: "I'm Sophia, this is John, and that's Jason. We have a daughter named Lilly to." She says.

Sophia: "Okay so I've already told you that hon but you don't remember."

Winter: "Where's my family and why do I look 10 years older than I should?" I ask and they look at each other with unease.

John: "Don't worry, you'll remember soon."

Winter: "Why is he sad?" I point to the teenager boy named Jason. As soon as I ask that he walks out of the room. He looks terrible and in the car I smelled cigarette smoke on him. Gross.

Sophia: "Well honey he is just really sad you don't remember him."

Winter: "But I do." They look at me in surprise, weird adults.
