Insecurities, and then the bad boy

Chapter 16- Eat...

Jason's P.O.V-

Beep,Beep,Beep...

Nurse: "Please go now!" We have no idea what's happening but I go anyway.
I'm pacing around while Maria sits with her arms crossed and her eyes are closed.

  My mom left a few minutes ago and she said to tell me when Winter can be let out of the hospital when the doctors tell me. After 20 minutes the doctor comes out.

Doctor: "Hello are you Jason Diaz?"

Jason: "Yes, my mom just left and she-"

Doctor: "Said to give the information to you. I know." I nod a little shocked and the doctor continues. "She can leave once she puts on her regular clothes instead of that hospital gown. She was fine just having a nightmare, she was scared in her nightmare and that's why her heart rate increased." I nod and he hands me a small package with 3 pill bottles. "These are her depression pills. She must take 2 every morning when she wakes up. She can not miss a day, do you understand?"

Jason: "Yes, what would happen if she didn't take them?"

Doctor: "She might be back at the hospital. You know... if she does something to herself again." I nod again knowing what he means. "Make sure she doesn't have any sharp things or any medicine in her room and bathroom except the depression pills. Also make sure she eats regularly."

Jason: "Okay. Can we see her?"

Doctor: "Yes but it might take a little bit for her to talk."

Jason: "What?"

Doctor: "We had to forced her to take the depression pills and she didn't like it. Plus she's upset and doesn't want to talk to people so please be careful what you say to her from now on." I nod and he lets us into her room.

I knock remembering she had to change but she doesn't answer so me and Maria go in me closing my eyes since I'm a guy.

Maria: "It's ok she's dressed." I open my eyes to see her in a white t-shirt and black leggings. Her cuts are all healed which is good.

Jason: "Um... hi Winter. Listen, I know a little bit of what happened with Mason, but can you tell me what happened because I don't think Mason was telling the whole truth and-" she walks right passed me and into the hall silently. Me and Maria follow her out and she just stands outside.

Maria: "The car is this way Winter." Maria starts walking to my car and Winter follows her.

Winter's hair is pretty long, it goes almost to her behind. And then I look and her behind while she walks. I know typical bad boy but she's pretty hot.
Damn.

I run over after checking her out and hold the door open for her. She doesn't say anything or look at me, just gets in.
I run over to the other side as Maria gets in. Then I drive away.

We arrive at my house and get out. When we get in Winter try's to go to her room but I grab her waist to stop her.

Jason: "Let's eat something." She doesn't move or do anything, just stand up straight looking away from me. I turn her around so she's facing me. "What do you wanna eat?" I say as she stares at the ground not making eye contact with me. "I don't know what you like to eat but I'm going to make pasta with Alfredo sauce." She doesn't move or say anything so I let her go.

She runs up to her room as I sigh.
I start making the pasta and sauce. After making it I set the table and Maria comes in.

Maria: "Hey I'm leaving, bye."

Jason: "You don't want to eat some lunch before you go?"

Maria: "Naw, I'll eating at my grandmas house. Bye Jason... make sure she's alright." I nod and she leaves.

I go upstairs to Winters room and she's doing homework. She looks up shocked.

Jason: "Oh! I'm sorry I didn't knock... uh... lunch is ready." She just continues to do her homework. "Come on Winter, you need to eat." She keeps doing her homework not even acknowledging me. "Do you want me to bring the food up here? I kinda wanted to eat with you, but if you want to eat in your room it's fine." She doesn't say anything and it's really irritating me. "Winter. Come on. Say something." I say sternly. "I'll bring it up." I start to turn around when she stands up and starts walking towards me.

Winter: "No." she looks me straight in the eye while saying that.

Jason: "No?" She keeps staring at me and I think for a moment.

I grab her and sling her over my shoulder. Wow she's way too light. She starts punching my back and kicking me but I barely notice.

Winter: "STOP!!!" She yells over and over.

When we get downstairs I put her in her seat and she tries to run away but I make sure she doesn't. I already set the table so I don't have to move to get the food because it's already there.

Jason: "Eat." I simply say and point to the food. She stares at it and plays with food for about 5 minutes and then takes a small bite. She tries to get up but I stop her. "All of it." She sits back down but pushes the plate away from her. I sigh out of frustration. "Come on Winter! Just eat!" I raise my voice a little and she pulls it back towards her and takes another small bite. She doesn't touch it and I sigh again. "Why is it such a big deal to eat one plate of effing PASTA?!" I tell and she starts shaking. Winter looks at the ground.

Winter: "I-I want to go back to m-my room." I grab the fork and put pasta on it then I shove the fork in her hand.

Jason: "Eat it then you can go back." I say frustrated and then she starts to cry. "Oh Winter, I'm sorry it's just you need to eat." I say as I crouch down beside her. Her crying stops but her breathing is slow and not very steady.
She eats half of the pasta and then pushes me out of the way and fast-walks to her room.

I sit down and put my head in my hands. Great. Just great. Well I guess I need to help her get back on her feet. But it's alright I'll give it my all because I really like her.

Winter's P.O.V-

After I eat half of the pasta I push Jason out of the way and run to my room. I lock my door and lay on my bed.

The pills the doctors gave me this morning are helping me not think of "negative thoughts" but when I'm laying in my bed all I can think about is why didn't he let me die? His life would be easier without me. Everyone's lives would be easier without me.

Mason and my mom are right about me, I'm pathetic.

After I laying in my bed sulking for a while I do the rest of my homework. It takes me 4 hours since I missed a lot of school but I get it done.

I hear Sophia call my name saying it's dinner and I sigh. I get up and put my hair in a ponytail. I walk downstairs slowly knowing their going to force me to eat.

I start walking towards the table and stop dead in my tracks when I see who is sitting right next to my chair.

Mason.
